1ٱقۡرَأۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَRecite in the name of your Lord who created25 lectures →2خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِنۡ عَلَقٍCreated man from a clinging substance3ٱقۡرَأۡ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلۡأَكۡرَمُRecite, and your Lord is the most Generous1 lecture →4ٱلَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِٱلۡقَلَمِWho taught by the pen8 lectures →5عَلَّمَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مَا لَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡTaught man that which he knew not2 lectures →6كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَيَطۡغَىٰٓNo! [But] indeed, man transgresses7أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰٓBecause he sees himself self-sufficient8إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجۡعَىٰٓIndeed, to your Lord is the return9أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يَنۡهَىٰHave you seen the one who forbids12 lectures →10عَبۡدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓA servant when he prays11أَرَءَيۡتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰٓHave you seen if he is upon guidance12أَوۡ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقۡوَىٰٓOr enjoins righteousness13أَرَءَيۡتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓHave you seen if he denies and turns away14أَلَمۡ يَعۡلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰDoes he not know that Allah sees15كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمۡ يَنتَهِ لَنَسۡفَعَۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِNo! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock16نَاصِيَةٖ كَٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٖA lying, sinning forelock17فَلۡيَدۡعُ نَادِيَهُۥThen let him call his associates18سَنَدۡعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَWe will call the angels of Hell19كَلَّا لَا تُطِعۡهُ وَٱسۡجُدۡۤ وَٱقۡتَرِب۩No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]8 lectures →
