1هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡغَٰشِيَةِHas there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]2وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ[Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled3عَامِلَةٞ نَّاصِبَةٞWorking [hard] and exhausted4تَصۡلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةٗThey will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire5تُسۡقَىٰ مِنۡ عَيۡنٍ ءَانِيَةٖThey will be given drink from a boiling spring6لَّيۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٖFor them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant7لَّا يُسۡمِنُ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِن جُوعٖWhich neither nourishes nor avails against hunger8وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ نَّاعِمَةٞ[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure9لِّسَعۡيِهَا رَاضِيَةٞWith their effort [they are] satisfied10فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖIn an elevated garden11لَّا تَسۡمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةٗWherein they will hear no unsuitable speech12فِيهَا عَيۡنٞ جَارِيَةٞWithin it is a flowing spring13فِيهَا سُرُرٞ مَّرۡفُوعَةٞWithin it are couches raised high14وَأَكۡوَابٞ مَّوۡضُوعَةٞAnd cups put in place15وَنَمَارِقُ مَصۡفُوفَةٞAnd cushions lined up16وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبۡثُوثَةٌAnd carpets spread around17أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡإِبِلِ كَيۡفَ خُلِقَتۡThen do they not look at the camels - how they are created4 lectures →18وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيۡفَ رُفِعَتۡAnd at the sky - how it is raised19وَإِلَى ٱلۡجِبَالِ كَيۡفَ نُصِبَتۡAnd at the mountains - how they are erected20وَإِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَيۡفَ سُطِحَتۡAnd at the earth - how it is spread out21فَذَكِّرۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٞSo remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder10 lectures →22لَّسۡتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِمُصَيۡطِرٍYou are not over them a controller5 lectures →23إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَHowever, he who turns away and disbelieves24فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَكۡبَرَThen Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment25إِنَّ إِلَيۡنَآ إِيَابَهُمۡIndeed, to Us is their return26ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا حِسَابَهُمThen indeed, upon Us is their account
