1وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡبُرُوجِBy the sky containing great stars2وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡمَوۡعُودِAnd [by] the promised Day3وَشَاهِدٖ وَمَشۡهُودٖAnd [by] the witness and what is witnessed3 lectures →4قُتِلَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأُخۡدُودِCursed were the companions of the trench5ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡوَقُودِ[Containing] the fire full of fuel6إِذۡ هُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا قُعُودٞWhen they were sitting near it7وَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفۡعَلُونَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ شُهُودٞAnd they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses8وَمَا نَقَمُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤۡمِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡحَمِيدِAnd they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy10 lectures →9ٱلَّذِي لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ شَهِيدٌTo whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness10إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُواْ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَتُوبُواْ فَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ ٱلۡحَرِيقِIndeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire11إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتٞ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡكَبِيرُIndeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment12إِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌIndeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe13إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبۡدِئُ وَيُعِيدُIndeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats14وَهُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلۡوَدُودُAnd He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate15ذُو ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡمَجِيدُHonorable Owner of the Throne16فَعَّالٞ لِّمَا يُرِيدُEffecter of what He intends17هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡجُنُودِHas there reached you the story of the soldiers18فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُودَ[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud19بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي تَكۡذِيبٖBut they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial20وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطُۢWhile Allah encompasses them from behind21بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡءَانٞ مَّجِيدٞBut this is an honored Qur'an22فِي لَوۡحٖ مَّحۡفُوظِۭ[Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate1 lecture →
