1وَيۡلٞ لِّلۡمُطَفِّفِينَWoe to those who give less [than due]2 lectures →2ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكۡتَالُواْ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسۡتَوۡفُونَWho, when they take a measure from people, take in full3وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمۡ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمۡ يُخۡسِرُونَBut if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss4أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبۡعُوثُونَDo they not think that they will be resurrected5لِيَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٖFor a tremendous Day6يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَThe Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds6 lectures →7كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلۡفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٖNo! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen8وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٞAnd what can make you know what is sijjeen9كِتَٰبٞ مَّرۡقُومٞIt is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed10وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers11ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِWho deny the Day of Recompense12وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعۡتَدٍ أَثِيمٍAnd none deny it except every sinful transgressor13إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَWhen Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples14كَلَّاۖ بَلۡۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَNo! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning15كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمۡ عَن رَّبِّهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّمَحۡجُوبُونَNo! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned16ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمۡ لَصَالُواْ ٱلۡجَحِيمِThen indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire17ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَThen it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny18كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَNo! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun19وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَAnd what can make you know what is 'illiyyun20كِتَٰبٞ مَّرۡقُومٞIt is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed21يَشۡهَدُهُ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَWhich is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah]22إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍIndeed, the righteous will be in pleasure23عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَOn adorned couches, observing24تَعۡرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمۡ نَضۡرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِYou will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure25يُسۡقَوۡنَ مِن رَّحِيقٖ مَّخۡتُومٍThey will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed26خِتَٰمُهُۥ مِسۡكٞۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكَ فَلۡيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلۡمُتَنَٰفِسُونَThe last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete27وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسۡنِيمٍAnd its mixture is of Tasneem28عَيۡنٗا يَشۡرَبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَA spring from which those near [to Allah] drink29إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجۡرَمُواْ كَانُواْ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يَضۡحَكُونَIndeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed30وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِهِمۡ يَتَغَامَزُونَAnd when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances31وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓاْ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُواْ فَكِهِينَAnd when they returned to their people, they would return jesting32وَإِذَا رَأَوۡهُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَAnd when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost33وَمَآ أُرۡسِلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَٰفِظِينَBut they had not been sent as guardians over them34فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡكُفَّارِ يَضۡحَكُونَSo Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers35عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَOn adorned couches, observing36هَلۡ ثُوِّبَ ٱلۡكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُواْ يَفۡعَلُونَHave the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do
