سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise
On the east side of Madinah, there was a settlement of the Banu al-Nadir, a Jewish tribe. There was a peace treaty between them and the Prophet Muhammad. But they committed breaches of this treaty time and again. At last in the fourth year of Hijrah, Almighty God created such conditions that they were compelled to leave Madinah. Thereafter, they settled in Khybar and Azra’at. But their conspiratorial activities continued. During the caliphate of ‘Umar Faruq, they and some other Jewish tribes were made to leave the Arabian Peninsula. They subsequently went to Syria and settled there.
مدینہ کے مشرق میں یہودی قبیلہ بنو نضیر کی آبادی تھی۔ ان کے اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے درمیان صلح کا معاہدہ تھا۔ مگر انہوں نے بار بار عہد شکنی کی۔ آخر کار 4 ھ میں اللہ تعالیٰ نے ایسے حالات پیدا کیے کہ مسلمانوں نے ان کو مدینہ سے نکلنے پر مجبور کردیا۔ اس کے بعد وہ خیبر اور شام كے علاقے میں جا کر آباد ہوگئے۔ مگر ان کی سازشی سرگرمیاں جاري رہیں۔ یہاں تک کہ حضرت عمر فاروق کی خلافت کے زمانہ میں وہ اور دوسرے یہودی قبائل جزیرهٔ عرب سے نکلنے پر مجبور کردیے گئے۔ اس کے بعد وہ لوگ شام میں جا کر آباد ہوئے۔
’’اللہ ان پر وہاں سے پہنچا جہاں ان کو گمان بھی نہ تھا‘‘ کی تشریح اگلے فقرہ میں موجود ہے۔ یعنی اللہ نے ان کے دلوں میں رعب ڈال دیا۔ انہوں نے بیرونی طور پر ہر قسم کی تیاریاں کیں۔ مگر جب مسلمانوں کی فوج نے ان کی آبادی کو گھیر لیا تو ساری طاقت کے باوجود ان پر ایسی دہشت طاری ہوئی کہ انہوں نے لڑنے کا حوصلہ کھودیا۔ اور بلا مقابلہ ہتھیار ڈال دیا۔
