وَيَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَكَ بِٱلۡعَذَابِ وَلَن يُخۡلِفَ ٱللَّهُ وَعۡدَهُۥۚ وَإِنَّ يَوۡمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلۡفِ سَنَةٖ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ
And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allah will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of those which you count
In this world, if an individual or a community rebels against God, God catches hold of that individual or community. But God does not make haste to do so. Man may lose patience in a day, but God does not become impatient even for a thousand years. God may observe disobedience among people, yet gives them ample opportunity to reform themselves, if they are so inclined. God catches hold of wrongdoers only when they have finally proved that they are guilty and incorrigible. God treated people in this manner in the past and people of the future will also be treated according to His immutable method.
اس دنیا میں کوئی شخص یا قوم اگر سرکشی کرے تو خدا ضرور اس کو پکڑتا ہے۔ مگر خدا کبھی پکڑنے میں جلدی نہیں کرتا۔ انسان ایک دن میں بے برداشت ہوسکتا ہے مگر خدا ایک ہزار سال تک بھی بے برداشت نہیں ہوتا۔ خدا نافرمانیوں کو دیکھتاہے پھر بھی لمبی مدت تک لوگوں کو موقع دیتا ہے تاکہ اگر وہ اصلاح کرنے والے ہوں تو اپنی اصلاح کرلیں۔ خدا کسی فرد یا قوم کو صرف اس وقت پکڑتاہے جب کہ وہ آخری طورپر اپنا مجرم ہونا ثابت کرچکے ہوں۔
پچھلے لوگوں کے ساتھ خدا نے یہی معاملہ کیا۔ آئندہ کے لوگوں کے ساتھ بھی خداا پنی اسی سنّت کے تحت معاملہ فرمائے گا۔
