حُنَفَآءَ لِلَّهِ غَيۡرَ مُشۡرِكِينَ بِهِۦۚ وَمَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَخۡطَفُهُ ٱلطَّيۡرُ أَوۡ تَهۡوِي بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِي مَكَانٖ سَحِيقٖ
Inclining [only] to Allah, not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allah - it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place
The central force in this universe is only one, and it is the Being of the one God. One who attaches himself to God has, as it were, found his real abode. He stands on firm ground. Unlike him is one who does not attach himself to God or who only outwardly accepts God, but in his heart of hearts is attached to someone else. Such a person is in effect cut off from that centre, apart from which there is no other centre in the universe. The condition of this individual will be like that described in this verse.
اس کائنات میں مرکزی قوت صرف ایک ہے۔ اور وہ خدائے واحد کی ذات ہے۔ جو شخص اپنے آپ کوخدا سے جوڑے اس نے اپنے ليے حقیقی ٹھکانا پالیا۔ وہ مضبوط زمین پر کھڑا ہوگیا۔ اس کے برعکس، جو شخص اپنے آپ کو خدا سے نہ جوڑے یا ایسا ہو کہ وہ زبان سے خدا کا اقرار کرے مگر اپنا دلی تعلق کسی اور سے وابستہ رکھے۔ وہ گویا اس مرکز سے کٹا ہوا ہے جس کے سوا اس کائنات میں دوسرا کوئی مرکز نہیں۔ ایسے شخص کا حال اس انسان جیسا ہوگا جس کی ایک مثال اوپر کی آیت میں بتائی گئی ہے۔
