Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib: If the religion were based on opinion, it would be more important to wipe the under part of the shoe than the upper but I have seen the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wiping over the upper part of his shoes
“maulana agla sawal hai umra abad se maulana fard ahmad sahab ka unhone likha hai deen mein aql ka istemal kiya ja sakta hai ya nahi kuch log ye kehte hain ke hazrat ali ne farmaya agar deen aql se hota to paon ke neeche ka masah hota upar ka nahi iske bare”
