حق کو باطل ثابت کرنا

قرآن کی سورہ الکہف کی ایک آیت یہ ہے: وما نرسل المرسلین إلا مبشرین ومنذرین، ویجادل الذین کفروا بالباطل لیدحضوا بہ الحق، واتخذوا اٰیاتی وما أنذروا ہُزوا (56: 18)یعنی رسولوں کو ہم صرف خوش خبری دینے والا اور ڈرانے والا بنا کر بھیجتے ہیں۔ اور منکر لوگ بے بنیاد باتوں کو لے کر جھگڑا کرتے ہیں، تاکہ اس کے ذریعے وہ حق کو باطل ثابت کردیں۔اور انھوں نے میری نشانیوں کو اور جن چیزوں سے ان کو ڈرایا گیا، اُس کو مذاق بنادیا۔

اِس آیت میں ’دحض‘ کا لفظ استعمال ہوا ہے۔ دحض کا لفظی مطلب ابطال (refutation) ہے، یعنی حق کو باطل قرار دینا۔ حق کے مقابلے میں یہ طریقہ ہمیشہ دنیا میں رائج رہاہے۔ فرق صرف یہ ہے کہ قدیم زمانے میں جارحانہ دحض کا طریقہ رائج تھا، اور اب غیر جارحانہ دحض کا طریقہ پایا جاتاہے۔

ایک امریکی اسکالر جان ویسٹ (John West) نے اِس معاملے پر تبصرہ کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ڈیوڈ کا ریمارک ڈارون کے نظریہ ارتقا کو مشتبہ ثابت کرتاہے، جب کہ ماڈرن طبقے کا یہ حال ہے کہ اس نے ایسے کسی بھی شخص کے خلاف عملاً ایک جنگ چھیڑ رکھی ہے جو ڈارون سے اختلاف کرے:

Coppedge lost his “team lead" title in 2009 and was let go last year after 15 years on the mission. Opening statements are expected to begin on Monday in the Los Angeles Superior Court after two years of legal wrangling. “It’s part of a pattern . There is basically a war on anyone who dissents from Darwin and we've seen that for several years,” said John West, associate director of the Center for Science and Culture at the Seattle-based Discovery Institute. The National Center for Science Education, which rejects intelligent design as thinly veiled creationism, is also watching the case. “It would be unfortunate if the court took what seems to be a fairly straightforward employment law case and allowed it to become this tangled mess of trying to adjudicate scientific matters,” said Josh Rosenau, NCSE's programs and policy director. “It looks a pretty straightforward case. The mission was winding down and he was laid off.” Coppedge’s attorney, William Becker, says his client was singled out by his bosses as they perceived his belief in intelligent design to be religious.
