وَلَقَدۡ جِئۡنَٰهُم بِكِتَٰبٖ فَصَّلۡنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ هُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ
And We had certainly brought them a Book which We detailed by knowledge - as guidance and mercy to a people who believe
The Quran warns mankind of the life after death. It tells of the reckoning of the Hereafter. But, man is not awakened. These intimations of the Quran are not merely ‘news,’ but the inevitable realities of the universe. However, they have not yet appeared as factual events. They are still hidden in the veil of the future. Unmindfully, man thinks that this is nothing but meaningless talk and ignores it, considering it unimportant. But these messages are on behalf of God who is all-knowing. Those who have not vitiated their nature and whose eyes are not covered by artificial veils will find the tenor of the Quran to be in consonance with the voice of their hearts. They will find that this is the very thing which their nature was already in search of. For them the Quran will become a treasure of life and Faith. The position of those who do not take the warnings of the Quran seriously will be entirely different. They will linger in this slumber until that event breaks upon them of which they are being warned. At that time, man will suddenly come to know that he has become completely helpless. The problems to which he gave importance and in which he was therefore embroiled will now appear to be baseless. The things on which he was relying will have ceased to be with him. The rosy hopes on which he was living will all prove to be false. The belief in the Hereafter appears to be an abstract idea. So, man does not become serious about it. But, in the life after death, when the Hereafter with all its terror will be thrust upon man, everyone will be compelled at that time to accept what he had not earlier been ready to accept. Man will then come to know that what he was being told earlier in the language of arguments was absolute fact and that, not being serious about it, he could not grasp its significance. When all those things on which he was relying in the world, leave man in the lurch, he will want to be sent back to earth, so that he may lead his life in a proper manner. But such an opportunity does not come to anyone twice.
قرآن آدمی کو موت کے بعد آنے والی زندگی سے ڈراتا ہے، وہ آخرت کے حساب کتاب سے لوگوں کو آگاہ کرتاہے۔ مگر آدمی چوکنّا نہیں ہوتا۔ قرآن کی یہ خبریں اگر چہ محض خبریں نہیں ہیں بلکہ وہ کائنات کی اٹل حقیقتیں ہیں۔ تاہم ابھی وہ واقعات کی صورت میں ظاہر نہیں ہوئیں، ابھی وہ مستقبل کے پردہ میں چھپی ہوئی ہیں۔ اس بنا پر غافل انسان یہ سمجھتاہے کہ یہ صرف کہنے کی باتیں ہیں۔ وہ ان کو غیر اہم سمجھ کر نظر انداز کردیتا ہے۔
مگر یہ باتیں خدا کی طرف سے ہیں جو تمام باتوں کا جاننے والا ہے۔ جن لوگوں نے اپنی فطرت کو بگاڑا نہیں ہے، جن کی آنکھوں پر مصنوعی پردے نہیں پڑے ہوئے ہیں، وہ قرآن کی ان باتوں کو اپنے دل کی آواز پائیں گے۔ وہ ان کو عین وہی چیز معلوم ہوگی جس کی تلاش ان کی فطرت پہلے سے کررہی تھی۔ قرآن ان کے ليے زندگی اور یقین کا خزانہ بن جائے گا۔
اس کے برعکس حال ان لوگوں کا ہے جو قرآن کی آگاہی کو کوئی سنجیدہ چیز نہیں سمجھتے۔ وہ اپنی اسی غفلت کی حالت میں پڑے رہیں گے یہاں تک کہ وہ وقت ان پر پھٹ پڑے جس کی خبر انھیں دی جارہی ہے۔ اس وقت آدمی اچانك ديكھے گا كه وه بالكل بے سهارا هوچكا هے۔ وه جن مسائل كو اهم سمجھ كر ان ميں الجھا هوا تھااس دن وه بالكل بے حقيقت نظر آئيں گے۔ وہ جن چیزوں پر بھروسہ كيے ہوئے تھا وہ سب اس کا ساتھ چھوڑ چکے ہوں گے۔ وہ جن امیدوں پر جی رہا تھا وہ سب جھوٹی خوش خیالیاں ثابت ہوں گی۔
آخرت کا مسئلہ آج محض ایک نظریہ ہے، وہ بظاہر کوئی سنگین مسئلہ نہیں۔ اس ليے آدمی اس کے بارے میں سنجیدہ نہیں ہوپاتا۔ مگر موت کے بعد آنے والی زندگی میں جب آخرت اپنی تمام ہولناکیوں کے ساتھ پھٹ پڑے گی، اس وقت ہر آدمی اس بات کو ماننے پر مجبور ہوگا جس کو وہ اس سے پہلے ماننے پر تیار نہیں ہوتا تھا۔ اس وقت آدمی جان لے گا کہ اس سے پہلے جو بات دلیل کی زبان میں کہی جارہی تھی وہ عین حقیقت تھی مگر میں اس کے بارے میں سنجیدہ نہ ہوسکا اس لیے میں اس کو سمجھ بھی نہ پایا۔
جب وہ تمام چیزیں آدمی کا ساتھ چھوڑ دیں گی جن کو وہ دنیا میں اپنا سہارا بنائے ہوئے تھا تو وہ چاہے گا کہ دنیا میں اسے دوبارہ بھیج دیا جائے تاکہ وہ صحیح زندگی گزارے۔ مگر زندگی کا یہ موقع کسی کو دوبارہ ملنے والا نہیں۔
