بِأَييِّكُمُ ٱلۡمَفۡتُونُ
Which of you is the afflicted [by a devil]
‘Do not give in to the deniers of truth’ means that the words of those who deny the truth are not worthy of acceptance. On the one hand, there is the upholder of Truth, who has taken his stand by virtue of reasoning. There is no contradiction between his words and his actions. On the other hand, there are his opponents who are of low character and have nothing to their credit except for false utterances. The missionary of Truth relies on Truth, whereas his opponents rely on their material status. The missionary of Truth is a follower of principles, unlike his opponents who are unprincipled, and whose views are highly inconsistent. For one who has a sound mind, this difference is enough to show who is on the right path and who is not.
وَالْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ سے مراد تاریخی ریکارڈ ہے۔ تاریخ کی شکل میں انسانی یاد داشت کا جو ریکارڈ جمع ہوا ہے اس میں قرآن ایک استثنائی کتاب ہے۔ اور صاحب قرآن ایک استثنائی شخصیت۔ اس استثناء کی اس کے سوا اور کوئی توجیہ نہیں کی جا سکتی کہ قرآن کو خدا کی کتاب مانا جائے۔ اور محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو خدا کا پیغمبر۔
اعلیٰ اخلاق سے مراد وہ اخلاق ہے جب کہ آدمی دوسروں کے رویہ سے بلند ہو کر عمل کرے۔ اس کا طریقہ یہ نہ ہو کہ برائی کرنے والوں کے ساتھ برائی اور بھلائی کرنے والوں کے ساتھ بھلائی، بلکہ وہ ہر ایک کے ساتھ بھلائی کرے،خواہ دوسرے اس کے ساتھ بُرائی ہی کیوں نہ کر رہے ہوں۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا اخلاق یہی دوسرا اخلاق تھا۔ اس قسم کا اخلاق ثابت کرتا ہے کہ آپ ایک با اصول انسان تھے۔ آپ کی شخصیت حالات کی پیداوار نہ تھی۔ بلکہ خود اپنے اعلیٰ اصولوں کی پیداوار تھی۔ آپ کا یہ اعلیٰ اخلاق آپ کے اس دعوے کے عین مطابق ہے کہ میں خدا کا رسول ہوں۔
