فَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُن كَصَاحِبِ ٱلۡحُوتِ إِذۡ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكۡظُومٞ
Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed
The relationship between the missionary and his addressees is a very delicate one. The missionary has to make himself pleasant-mannered unilaterally. The addressee may talk unreasonably, he may hold the missionary in contempt, and may make false allegations against him. In short, he may do anything of a discourageing nature, but the missionary must at all times abstain from negative reaction. His success is dependent upon two things—tolerance of excesses on the part of the addressee and having no expectation of material gain from him.
داعی اور مدعو کا رشتہ بے حد نازک رشتہ ہے۔ داعی کو یک طرفہ طور پر اپنے آپ کو حسن اخلاق کا پابند بنانا پڑتا ہے۔ مدعو بے دلیل باتیں کرے، وہ داعی کو حقیر سمجھے، وہ داعی پر جھوٹا الزام لگائے۔ وہ خواہ کچھ بھی کرے، داعی کو ہرحال میں اپنے آپ کو رد عمل کی نفسیات سے بچانا ہے۔ داعی کی کامیابی کا راز دو چیزوں میں چھپا ہوا ہے— مدعو کی زیادتیوں پر صبر اور مدعو سے کوئی مادی غرض نہ رکھنا۔
