فَلَمَّا نَسُواْ مَا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِۦ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ أَبۡوَٰبَ كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَرِحُواْ بِمَآ أُوتُوٓاْ أَخَذۡنَٰهُم بَغۡتَةٗ فَإِذَا هُم مُّبۡلِسُونَ
So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair
When a man is faced with the truth and he does not accept it, God does not seize him immediately, but gives him some jolts by way of monetary loss or physical trouble, so that he should review his way of life, and his thinking should be revolutionised. Life’s events are not mere happenings but vibrant messages from God sent to wake a man up from his sleep of forgetfulness. But man learns nothing from these things. He consoles himself by saying that these are normal ups and downs and that such ups and downs do occur in life. In this way, Satan all too often diverts the mind of the individual from possible divine disfavour and pushes him into negligence of his religious duties by providing him with plausible justifications. When a man indulges in this type of behaviour again and again, his heart loses all sensitivity to what is true or false, right or wrong. His conscience eventually becomes totally blunted. When a man ignores the warnings received from God, His approach towards him changes. Now, God’s decision for him is that the doors to comfort and success should be opened for him; he should be granted prosperity in full measure; his honour and popularity should increase. This is in reality, a punishment, so that the evil hidden in him should come out clearly. The purpose of this is that man should feel satisfied with himself and become more and more insensitive and much bolder in ignoring the Truth. And, as a result, his meriting punishment is fully established. When this purpose is achieved, God’s retribution suddenly overwhelms him. He is deprived of worldly life and presented before the court of the Hereafter, so that he may be awarded the punishment of Hell. This world is God’s world. Here the right to have one’s greatness extolled belongs to only one Being. So, if a man ignores the divine truth, he is in fact disrespecting God. In a world overarched by the majesty of the Almighty, he wants to establish his own greatness. In this way he is indulging in unparalleled transgression. He is being insolent to God before whom no behaviour other than that of the utmost humility is proper.
آدمی کے سامنے ایک حق آتا ہے اور وہ اس کو نہیں مانتا تو اللہ اس کو فوراً نہیں پکڑتا۔ بلکہ اس کو مالی نقصان اور جسمانی تکلیف کی صورت میں کچھ جھٹکے دیتا ہے، تاکہ اس کی سوچنے کی صلاحیت بیدار ہو اور وہ اپنے رویہ کے بارے میں نظر ثانی کرے۔ زندگی کے حوادث محض حوادث نہیںہیں، وہ خدا کے بھیجے ہوئے محسوس پیغامات ہیں جو اس لیے آتے ہیں تاکہ غفلت میں سوئے ہوئے انسان کو جگائیں۔ مگر آدمی اکثر ان چیزوں سے نصیحت نہیں لیتا۔ وہ یہ کہہ کر اپنے کو مطمئن کرلیتا ہے کہ یہ تو اتار چڑھاؤ کے واقعات ہیں اور اس قسم کے اتار چڑھاؤ زندگی میں آتے ہی رہتے ہیں۔ اس طرح ہر موقع پر شیطان کوئی خوش نما توجیہہ پیش کرکے آدمی کے ذہن کو نصیحت کے بجائے غفلت کی طرف پھیر دیتا ہے۔ آدمی جب بار بار ایسا کرتاہے تو حق وباطل اور صحیح وغلط کے بارے میں اس کے دل کی حساسیت ختم ہوجاتی ہے۔ وہ قساوت (بے حسی) کا شکار ہو کر رہ جاتا ہے۔
جب آدمی خدا کی طرف سے آئی ہوئی تنبیہات کو نظر انداز کردے تو اس کے بعد اس کے بارے میں خدا کا انداز بدل جاتا ہے۔ اب اس کے لیے خدا كا فیصلہ یہ ہوتا ہے کہ اس پر آسانیوں اور کامیابیوں کے دروازے کھولے جائیں۔ اس پر خوش حالی کی بارش کی جائے۔ اس کی عزت ومقبولیت میںاضافہ کیا جائے۔ یہ درحقیقت ایک سزا ہے، جو اس لیے ہوتی ہے تاکہ آدمی مطمئن ہو کر اپنی بے حسی کو اور بڑھالے، وہ حق کو نظرانداز کرنے میں اور زیادہ ڈھیٹ ہوجائے اور اس طرح خدا کی سزا کا استحقاق اس کے لیے پوری طرح ثابت ہوجائے۔ جب یہ مقصد حاصل ہوجائے تو اس کے بعد اچانک اس پر خداکا عذاب ٹوٹ پڑتا ہے۔ اس کو دنیوی زندگی سے محروم کرکے آخرت کی عدالت میںحاضر کردیا جاتاہے تاکہ اس کی سرکشی کی سزا میں اس کے لیے جہنم کا فیصلہ ہو۔
یہ دنیا خداکی دنیا ہے۔ یہاںہر قسم کی بڑائی اور تعریف کا حق صرف ایک ذات کے لیے ہے۔ اس لیے جب کوئی شخص خدا کی طرف سے آئے ہوئے حق کو نظر انداز کردیتاہے تو وہ دراصل خدا کی ناقدری کرتاہے۔ وہ خداکی عظمتوں کی دنیامیں اپنی عظمت قائم کرنا چاہتاہے۔ وہ ایسا ظلم کرتاہے جس سے بڑا کوئی ظلم نہیں۔ وہ اس خدا کے سامنے گستاخی کرتاہے جس کے سامنے عجز کے سوا کوئی اور رویہ کسی انسان کے لیے درست نہیں۔
