وَٱلطُّورِ
By the mount
Mount Tur is that mountain in the desert of Sinai where Moses was awarded prophethood. The Scripture penned on unrolled parchment or the written Book (kitabun mastur) here means the Torah. The frequented house (al-bayt al-ma‘mur) means the Kabah. The lofty vaults of the sky or high roof (as-saqf al-marfu‘) means the sky. The swelling sea (al-bahr al-masjur) means a sea with waves. All these things bear testimony that the Day of seizure by God is certain to come. Almighty God has repeatedly given these very tidings through the prophets. This has also been mentioned in ancient holy scriptures. Heaven and earth announce this in their silent language. The waves of the sea relate this story to every listener.
طور صحرائے سینا کا وہ پہاڑ ہے جہاں حضرت موسیٰ کو پیغمبری دی گئی۔ کتاب مسطور سے مراد تورات ہے۔ بیت معمور سے مراد زمین اور سقف مرفوع سے مراد آسمان ہے۔ بحر مسجور سے مراد موجیں مارتا ہوا سمندر ہے۔ یہ چیزیں شاہد ہیں کہ خدا کی پکڑ کا دن یقیناً آنے والا ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ یہی خبر پیغمبروں کے ذریعہ دیتا رہا ہے۔ قدیم آسمانی کتابوں میں یہی بات درج ہے۔ زمین و آسمان اپنی خاموش زبان میں اس کا اعلان کر رہے ہیں۔ سمندر کی موجیں ہر سننے والے کو اس کی کہانی سنا رہی ہیں۔
انسان کو اپنے عمل کا نتیجہ بھگتنا ہوگا۔ یہ بات آج پیشگی اطلاع کی صورت میں بتائی جا رہی ہے۔ جو لوگ پیشگی اطلاع سے ہوش میں نہ آئیں ان پر ان کی غفلت اور سرکشی کل کے دن ایک دردناک عذاب کی صورت میں آ پڑے گی اور پھر وہ اس سے بھاگنا چاہیں گے مگر وہ اس سے بھاگ کر کہیں نہ جا سکیں گے۔
