يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَرۡفَعُوٓاْ أَصۡوَٰتَكُمۡ فَوۡقَ صَوۡتِ ٱلنَّبِيِّ وَلَا تَجۡهَرُواْ لَهُۥ بِٱلۡقَوۡلِ كَجَهۡرِ بَعۡضِكُمۡ لِبَعۡضٍ أَن تَحۡبَطَ أَعۡمَٰلُكُمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ لَا تَشۡعُرُونَ
O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not
The Bedouin tribes from the areas surrounding Madinah were not mature in understanding. When they used to come to the meetings of the Prophet Muhammad, they did not address him as ‘O Prophet of God’, but rather as ‘O Muhammad.’ Their manner of speech was not modest or humble, but overbearing. Such behaviour was prohibited. A Prophet is God’s representative in this world. Rudeness to him of this nature amounts to rude behaviour towards God, which renders a man absolutely worthless. After the demise of the Prophet Muhammad, the guidance brought by him stands in his place. Now this divine guidance necessitates obedience just as obedience to the Prophet personally was required during his lifetime. Fear of God makes a man serious. If fear of God really enters a man’s heart, he will come to know automatically, as a matter of instinct, all those realities of which others remain unaware in spite of being informed of them.
اطراف مدینہ کے بدوی قبائل شعوری اعتبار سے زیادہ پختہ نہ تھے۔ ان کے سرداروں کا حال یہ تھا کہ وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی مجلس میں آتے تو آپ کو مخاطب کرتے ہوئے یا رسول اللہ کہنے کے بجائے یا محمد کہتے۔ ان کی گفتگو متواضعانہ نہ ہوتی بلکہ متکبرانہ ہوتی۔ اس سے انہیں منع کیا گیا۔ رسول دنیا میں خدا کا نمائندہ ہوتا ہے۔ اس کے سامنے اس طرح کی ناشائستگی خدا کے سامنے ناشائستگی ہے، جو کہ آدمی کو بالکل بے قیمت بنا دینے والی ہے۔
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی وفات کے بعد آپ کی لائی ہوئی ہدایت دنیا میں آپ کی قائم مقام ہے۔ اب اس مقدس ہدایت کے ساتھ وہی تابعداری مطلوب ہے جو تابعداری رسول کی زندگی میں رسول کی ذات کے ساتھ مطلوب ہوتی تھی۔
اللہ کا ڈر آدمی کو سنجیدہ بناتا ہے۔ کسی کے دل میں اگر واقعۃً اللہ کا ڈر پیدا ہوجائے تو وہ خود اپنے مزاج کے تحت وہ باتیں جان لے گا جس کو دوسرے لوگ بتانے کے بعد بھی نہیں جانتے۔
