يَمُنُّونَ عَلَيۡكَ أَنۡ أَسۡلَمُواْۖ قُل لَّا تَمُنُّواْ عَلَيَّ إِسۡلَٰمَكُمۖ بَلِ ٱللَّهُ يَمُنُّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ أَنۡ هَدَىٰكُمۡ لِلۡإِيمَٰنِ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ
They consider it a favor to you that they have accepted Islam. Say, "Do not consider your Islam a favor to me. Rather, Allah has conferred favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if you should be truthful
If anyone embraces Islam or some Islamic task is accomplished through him, he should realize that this has come about with the help of God. Faith and good deeds all depend on God’s directive guidance. So, whenever somebody is in a position to do something good, he should thank God for it. If, instead of so doing, the individual attempts to make his co-religionists feel obliged to him for what he has done, this would amount to his having acted not out of concern for God, but in order to figure well in the eyes of his fellow-men. God is directly aware of everything. One who performs any task for the sake of God, should firmly believe that God sees his work, and that there is no need to show it to Him.
کوئی شخص اسلام میں داخل ہو یا اس کے ہاتھ سے کوئی اسلامی کام انجام پائے تو اس کو سمجھنا چاہيے کہ یہ اللہ کی مدد سے ہوا ہے۔ ایمان اور عمل سب کا انحصار اللہ کی توفیق پر ہے۔ اس لیے جب بھی کسی کو کسی خیر کی توفیق ملے تو وہ اللہ کا شکر ادا کرے۔
اس کے بجائے اگر وہ اپنے ہم مذہبوں پر اس کا احسان جتانے لگے تو گویا وہ زبان حال سے کہہ رہا ہے کہ یہ کام میں نے اللہ کو دکھانے کے لیے نہیں کیا تھا بلکہ انسانوں کو دکھانے کے لیے کیا تھا۔ خدا ہر چیز سے براہِ راست واقفیت رکھتا ہے، جو شخص خدا کے لیے عمل کرے اس کو یقين رکھنا چاهيے کہ اس کا خدا اس کے عمل کو بتائے بغیر دیکھ رہا ہے۔
