۞وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَجَآءَهُمۡ رَسُولٞ كَرِيمٌ
And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger
The call for Truth is, in fact, a manifestation of God’s power in the shape of reasoning. In this way, God announces Himself through human beings, while He Himself remains unseen. The divine call, therefore, becomes a trial for its addressees. The truth seekers acknowledge it and bow down before it, while those who are enamoured of appearances consider it unimportant and ignore it. But after rejecting the call to accept the Truth, man cannot avoid facing the consequences. During the lifetime of the Prophet, these ruinous consequences became apparent in this world itself, just as had happened in the case of the Pharaoh of Egypt. Where there was no immediate evidence of such divine retribution, the deniers had to face the consequences of their actions after death.
لمبي مدت تك حضرت موسيٰ کی تبليغي كوششوں كے بعد قوم فرعون پر اتمام حجت هوگيا۔ اب يه ثابت هوگيا كه وه مجرم هيں۔ اس وقت حضرت موسيٰ كو حكم هوا كه وه اپني قوم (بني اسرائيل) كے ساتھ مصر سے نكل كر باهرچلے جائيں۔ حضرت موسيٰ روانه هوئے يهاں تك وه دريا كے كنارے پهنچ گئے۔ اس وقت دريا كا پاني هٹ گيا اور آپ كے لیے پار هونے كا راسته نكل آيا۔
فرعون اپنے لشكر كے ساتھ حضرت موسيٰ اور بني اسرائيل كا پيچھا كرتا هوا آرها تھا۔ اس نے جب دريا ميں راسته بنتے هوئے ديكھا تو اس نے سمجھا كه جس طرح موسيٰ پار هوگئے هيں وه بھي اسي طرح پار هوسكتا هے۔ مگر دريا كا راسته ساده معنوں ميں صرف راسته نه تھا بلكه وه خدا كا حكم تھا اور خدا كا حكم اس وقت موسيٰ كے ليے نجات كا تھا اور فرعون كے ليے هلاكت كا۔ چنانچه جب فرعون اور اس كا لشكر دريا ميں داخل هوئے تو دونوں طرف كا پاني برابر هوگيا۔ فرعون مع اپنے لشكر كے اس ميں غرق هوگيا۔
دنيا كي نعمتيں جس كو ملتي هيں اكثر وه ان كو اپني ذاتي چيز سمجھ ليتا هے حالانكه كسي كے لیے بھي وه ذاتي نهيں هيں۔ خدا جب چاهے كسي كو دے اور جب چاهے اس سے چھين كر اسے دوسروں كے حوالے كردے۔
