هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُۖ فَإِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمۡرٗا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ
He it is who gives life and causes death; and when He decrees a matter, He but says to it, "Be," and it is
Who were the ones who were happy with untruth and indulged in false pride? These were men who held great stature in their times. They attained some worldly elevation, which alongwith their material possessions made them arrogant and vain. Their success in worldly matters had developed in them a false impression that they were the ones who had attained success, though in actual fact they were the truly deprived people. As the high ranking men of a society become the rejecters of the Truth, the common people also follow them and start denying the Truth. In these verses, a scene of the world Hereafter has been described, when these people will be cast into Hell to be punished for their arrogant behaviour. Their overweening pride would have ultimately dragged them to such low levels that they will find no way to uplift themselves from their position.
ان آیات میں فطرت کے کچھ واقعات کا ذکر ہے۔ اس کے بعد ارشاد ہوا ہے ’’یہ اس ليے ہے تاکہ تم غورکرو‘‘— گویا فطرت کے یہ مادی واقعات اپنے اندر کچھ معنوی سبق ليے ہوئے ہیں۔ اور انسان سے یہ مطلوب ہے کہ وہ غور کرکے اس چھپے ہوئے سبق تک پہنچے۔
فطرت کے جن واقعات کا یہاں ذکر کیاگیا ہے وہ ہیں— بے جان مادہ کا تبدیل ہوکر جان دار چیز بن جانا، انسان کا تدریجی انداز میں نشوو نما پانا۔جوانی تک پہنچ کر پھر آدمی پر بڑھاپا طاری ہونا، زندہ انسان کا دوبارہ مرجانا، کبھی کم عمری میں اور کبھی زیادہ عمر میں، یہ واقعات خالق کی مختلف صفات کا تعارف ہیں۔ اس سے معلوم ہوتاہے کہ اس کائنات کا وجود میں لانے والا ایک ایسا خداہے جو قادر اور حکیم ہے، وہ سب پر غالب اور بالادست ہے۔
اگر آدمی ان واقعات سے حقیقی سبق لے تو ا س کا ذہن پکار اٹھے گا کہ ایک خدا ہی اس کا سزاوار ہے کہ اس کی عبادت کی جائے اور اس کو اپنا آخری مطلوب سمجھا جائے۔ عالم کا یہ نقشہ بزبان حال ان تمام معبودوں کی تردید کررہا ہے جو ایک خدا کو چھوڑ کر بنائے گئے ہوں۔
