۞وَيَٰقَوۡمِ مَا لِيٓ أَدۡعُوكُمۡ إِلَى ٱلنَّجَوٰةِ وَتَدۡعُونَنِيٓ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ
And O my people, how is it that I invite you to salvation while you invite me to the Fire
In other words the sentence, ‘I call you towards the Lord of the Universe, whereas you call me towards one who is quite ineffectual both in this world and in the Hereafter.’ This presents the gist of the speech of a true believer. This gives an idea of what was being discussed in Pharaoh’s court. The discussion was on whether God or other man-made deities should be invoked. The true believer said that God is a living and dominant entity. Calling upon Him amounts to calling upon the real God. As opposed to this, he said that their deities were only the creation of their imagination or objects of superstition, and were of no avail either in this world or in the world Hereafter. When they (the deities) have no real existence, how can they confer any real advantage? (Tafsir ibn Kathir, vol. IV, p. 80).
دربارِ فرعون کے مومن کی یہ تقریر نہایت واضح ہے۔ نیز وہ ایک نمونہ کی تقریر ہے جو یہ بتاتی ہے کہ حق کے داعی کا اندازِ خطاب کیا ہونا چاہیے اور یہ کہ دعوت حق کا اصل نکتہ کیا ہے۔
’’میں تم کو خداوند عالم کی طرف بلاتا ہوں۔ اور تم جس کی طرف مجھے بلا رہے ہو اس کو پکارنے کا کوئی فائدہ نہ دنیا میں ہے اور نہ آخرت میں‘‘— یہ فقرہ رجل مومن کی پوری تقریر کا خلاصہ ہے۔ اس سے اندازہ ہوتاہے کہ فرعون کے دربار میں جو چیز زیر بحث تھی وہ کیا تھی۔ وہ یہ تھی کہ خدا کو پکارا جائے یا انسان کے بنائے ہوئے بتوں کو پکارا جائے۔ رجل مومن نے کہا کہ خدا تو ایک زندہ اور غالب حقیقت ہے، اس کو پکارنا ایک حقیقی معبود کو پکارنا ہے۔ مگر تمھارے اصنام صرف تمھارے وہم کی ایجاد ہیں۔ وہ نہ دنیا میں تمھیں کوئی فائدہ دے سکتے اور نہ آخرت میں۔ جب ان کا کوئی حقیقی وجود ہی نہیں تو ان سے کوئی حقیقی فائدہ کیسے مل سکتا ہے (الْوَثَنَ لَا يَنْفَعُ وَلَا يَضُرُّ)تفسیر ابن کثیر، جلد 7، صفحہ
