سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٖ فِي ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Peace upon Noah among the worlds
When Noah’s own people turned against him, he called upon God to help him in his struggle with them. God helped him to steer clear of his difficulties. This indicates that when a subject of God calls out to Him, he receives a superlative response. But such response succeeds a tireless strife of the implorer. Noah had been trying to spread the message of God for about nine hundred and fifty years, exercising patience, wisdom and all along wishing well for his people. After a long period of time elapsed in this way, Noah finally called out to God for His succour. Noah’s opponents were utterly destroyed in a terrible flood: indeed, the whole race was wiped out. The succeeding generation came into existence through those few individuals who were saved along with him in his ark.
حضرت نوح علیہ السلام کی قوم ان کی دشمن ہوگئی۔ انھوں نے قوم کے مقابلہ میں مدد کےلیے اللہ کو پکارا تو اللہ نے بہترین طورپر آپ کی مدد کی۔ یہ الفاظ بتاتے ہیں کہ جب اللہ کا ایک بندہ اللہ کو پکارتا ہے تو اللہ کی طرف سے وہ اس کا بہترین جواب پاتاہے۔ مگر اس معاملہ کو سمجھنے کےلیے ضروری ہے کہ اس میں ایک اور بات کو شامل کیا جائے۔ وہ یہ کہ حضرت نوح ساڑھے نو سو سال تک کام کرتے رہے۔ انھوں نے صبر اور حکمت اور خیر خواہی کے تمام آداب کو ملحوظ رکھتے ہوئے قوم کو دعوت دی۔ اس طرح لمبی مدت کے بعد وہ وقت آیا کہ وہ قوم کے خلاف اللہ کو پکاریں اور اللہ اپنی تمام طاقتوں کے ساتھ ان کی مدد پر آجائے۔
حضرت نوح کے مخالفین ایک ہولناک طوفان میں اس طرح ہلاک ہوئے کہ ان کی پوری نسل ختم ہوگئی اس کے بعد دوبارہ جو نسل چلی وہ انھیں چند افراد کے ذریعہ چلی جو حضرت نوح کے ساتھ کشتی میں بچاليے گئے تھے۔
