وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٞ وِزۡرَ أُخۡرَىٰۚ وَإِن تَدۡعُ مُثۡقَلَةٌ إِلَىٰ حِمۡلِهَا لَا يُحۡمَلۡ مِنۡهُ شَيۡءٞ وَلَوۡ كَانَ ذَا قُرۡبَىٰٓۗ إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَأَقَامُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۚ وَمَن تَزَكَّىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَتَزَكَّىٰ لِنَفۡسِهِۦۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination
Man is an extremely vulnerable creation. His whole existence depends on a particular balance of natural factors. If this balance were to be disturbed, the very existence of man would be threatened. If, for instance, the sun reduced its distance from the earth and came near it, then all human beings would be burnt and reduced to ashes. Also, a large part of the inside of the earth consists of an extremely hot, semi-liquid material. If this hot matter moved upwards, the surface of the earth would experience terrible earthquakes which would reduce all human settlements to ruins. Moreover, meteors constantly fall upon Earth from outer space, but the atmosphere shields us against their effects. If the present balanced arrangement of this phenomenon were to be disrupted, the shower of meteors might turn into such a terrible barrage of stones that it would be impossible to save humanity from it. Man is surrounded by innumerable deadly possibilities of this kind; being totally dependent explains why man needs God and not vice versa. The burden of Doomsday will be that of one’s sins. Were it only a question of a physical burden, any individual could share another’s burden. But, the denigration and pain one suffers due to one’s bad deeds are of an extremely personal nature and there is no question of anybody else sharing them. The Truth is very clear, but it is understood only by one who wants to understand. One who is not serious about knowing what is Truth and what is Untruth, cannot be made to understand anything.
موجودہ دنیا میں انسان انتہائی حد تک غیر محفوظ (vulnerable) ہے۔ انسان کا سارا معاملہ فطرت کے خاص توازن پر منحصر ہے۔ یہ توازن باقی نہ رہے تو ایک لمحہ میں انسانی زندگی کا خاتمہ ہوجائے۔
سورج اگر اپنے موجودہ فاصلہ کو ختم کرکے زمین کے قریب آجائے تو اچانک تمام انسان جل بھن کر خاک ہوجائیں۔زمین کے اندر اس کا بڑا حصہ بے حد گرم مادہ کی صورت میں ہے۔ اس گرم مادہ کی حرکت اوپر کی طرف ہوجائے تو سطح زمین پر ایسا زلزلہ پیداہو کہ تمام آبادیاں کھنڈر بن کر رہ جائیں۔ اوپر ی فضا سے ہر وقت شہابی پـتھر (meteors) برستے رہتے ہیں۔ اگر موجودہ انتظام بگڑ جائے تو یہ شہابئے ایک ایسی سنگ باری کی صورت اختیار کرلیں جس سے کسی حال میں بھی بچاؤ ممکن نہ ہو۔ اس طرح کے بے شمار ہلاکت خیز امکانات ہر وقت انسان کو گھیرے میں ليے ہوئے ہیں۔ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ انسان ایک ایسی مخلوق ہے جو مکمل طورپر محتاج ہے۔ انسان کو خدا کی ضرورت ہے، نہ کہ خدا کو انسان کی ضرورت۔
قیامت کا بوجھ خود اپنے گناہوں کا بوجھ ہوگا، نہ کہ اینٹ پتھر کا بوجھ۔ اینٹ پتھر کے بوجھ میں ایک شخص کسی دوسرے شخص کا حصہ دار بن سکتا ہے مگر خود اپنے برے عمل سے جو رسوائی اور تکلیف کسی شخص کو لاحق ہو وہ انتہائی ذاتی نوعیت کا عذاب ہوتاہے۔ اس میں کسی دوسرے کےلیے حصہ دار بننے کا سوال نہیں۔
حقیقت نہایت واضح ہے مگر حقیقت کو وہی شخص سمجھتا ہے جو اس کو سمجھنا چاہے۔ جو شخص اس بارے میں سنجیدہ ہی نہ ہو کہ حقیقت کیا ہے، اور بے حقیقت کیا، اس کو کوئی بات سمجھائی نہیں جاسکتی۔
