وَمَا كَانَ لَهُۥ عَلَيۡهِم مِّن سُلۡطَٰنٍ إِلَّا لِنَعۡلَمَ مَن يُؤۡمِنُ بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ مِمَّنۡ هُوَ مِنۡهَا فِي شَكّٖۗ وَرَبُّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ حَفِيظٞ
And he had over them no authority except [it was decreed] that We might make evident who believes in the Hereafter from who is thereof in doubt. And your Lord, over all things, is Guardian
Satan (Iblis) and his representatives, are forever hatching plots against human beings. On such occasions, it is man’s duty not to fall a victim to them and thus render their plotting unsuccessful. But, the people of Sheba did not prove to be wise. They were influenced by and succumbed to the satanic inducements and trod the path to destruction. There were but a few (true believers) who were successful in this test. God has not given Satan or his representatives any actual powers over anybody. Satan has the power only to seduce. This has been so arranged for the purpose of putting man to the test. One who passes this test will rise above satanic inducements and remain firm on the path of reality and Truth.
ابلیس یا اس کے نمائندے ہمیشہ انسان کے خلاف اپنا منصوبہ بناتے ہیں۔ ایسے موقع پر انسان کا کام یہ ہے کہ وہ ان کے منصوبہ کا شکار نہ ہو۔ اور اس طرح وہ ان کو ناکام بنادے۔ مگر سبا کے لوگ دوسرے لوگوں کی طرح اس دانائی کا ثبوت نہ دے سکے۔ وہ شیطانی ترغیبات کے زیر اثر آکر تباہی کے راستہ پر چل پڑے۔ صرف تھوڑے سے حق پرست تھے جو اس امتحان میں کامیاب ہوئے۔
شیطان کو یا اس کے نمائندہ کو خدا نے کسی کے اوپر عملی اختیار نہیں دیا ہے۔ اس کو صرف بہکانے کا اختیار ہے۔ یہ اس ليے ہے تاکہ انسان کو آزمائش ہو۔ اس آزمائش میں پورا اترنے والا شخص وہ ہے جو شیطانی ترغیبات سے غیر متاثر رہ کر حق وصداقت پر قائم رہے۔
