ظَهَرَ ٱلۡفَسَادُ فِي ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ أَيۡدِي ٱلنَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِي عَمِلُواْ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُونَ
Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness]
Man deviated from God’s scheme and completely ignored His creation plan, in that he single-mindedly pursued worldly comforts. He very soon realized that modern civilization, which he had thought would fulfil his limitless hidden desires and ambitions, was only a source of utter destruction and chaos. The present global warming is an apt illustration of this point: the modern culture of consumerism and greed for more and more has given an immense boost to industrialization, which has resulted in global climate change. Scientists now believe that the modern industrial age spells total catastrophe and that the world is careering head on to its doom. The damage is so severe and irreversible that, very soon, life on this earth will be impossible.
ایک انسان کا پیدا ہونا، اس کو صبح وشام کا رزق ملنا، اس پر موت واقع ہونا، یہ واقعات اتنے عظیم ہیں کہ ان کے ظہور کےلیے کائناتی قوت درکار ہے۔ اور خالق کائنات کے سوا کوئی بھی مفروضہ ہستی ایسی نہیں جو اس قسم کی کائناتی قوت رکھتی ہو۔ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ توحید اپنی دلیل آپ ہے اور شرک اپنی تردید آپ۔
اگر انسان ایک خدا کو اپنا معبود بنائے تو سب کا مرکز توجہ ایک ہوتاہے۔ اس سے انسانوں کے درمیان اتحادکی فضا پیدا ہوتی ہے۔ اس کے برعکس، جب دوسرے دوسرے معبود بنائے جانے لگیں تو بے شمار چیزیں مرکز توجہ بن جاتی ہیں۔ اس سے افراد اور قوموں میں عناد اور اختلاف پیدا ہوتا ہے۔ خشکی اور سمندر اور فضا سب فساد سے بھر جاتے ہیں۔
انسان کی بے راہ روی کا مستقل انجام موت کے بعد سامنے آنے والا ہے۔ مگر انسان کی بے راہ روی کا وقتی انجام اسی دنیا میں دکھایا جاتا ہے تاکہ لوگوں کو یاد دہانی ہو۔
