وَيَوۡمَ يُنَادِيهِمۡ فَيَقُولُ أَيۡنَ شُرَكَآءِيَ ٱلَّذِينَ كُنتُمۡ تَزۡعُمُونَ
And [warn of] the Day He will call them and say, "Where are My 'partners' which you used to claim
On Judgement Day, the adherents of misguided leaders (sharik), whose word they accepted as if it were the word of God, will find themselves in a strange predicament. They will find that those great ones, whom they had been so proud to follow, have led them straight to Hell. They will then, in disgust, blame their leaders for their plight. But their leaders will retort that they have nobody to blame but themselves. They will allege that if their followers obtensibly bowed to their will, it was only because it was in accordance with their own desires. They will further accuse their followers of being slaves to their own desires. But they will then admit that they too had given in to temptation and that since leaders and followers had to face the same fate, there was no point in blaming each other.
یہاں ’’شریک‘‘ سے مراد گمراہ لیڈر ہیں۔ یعنی وہ بڑے لوگ جن کی بات لوگوں نے اس طرح مانی جس طرح خدا کی بات ماننی چاہيے۔ قیامت میں جب ان بڑوں کا ساتھ دینے والے لوگ اپنا برا انجام دیکھیں گے تو ان کاعجیب حال ہوگا۔ وہ پائیں گے کہ جن بڑوں سے وابستہ ہونے پر وہ فخر کرتے تھے، ان بڑوں نے انھیں صرف جہنم تک پہنچایا ہے۔ اس وقت وہ بے زار ہو کر ان سے کہیں گے کہ ہماری بربادی کے ذمہ دار تم ہو۔ ان کے بڑے جواب دیں گے کہ تمھاری اپنی ذات کے سوا کوئی تمھاری بربادی کا ذمہ دار نہیں۔ اگر چہ بظاہر تم ہمارے کہنے پر چلے مگر ہمارا ساتھ تم نے ا س ليے دیا کہ ہماری بات تمھاری خواہشات کے مطابق تھی، تم در حقیقت اپنی خواہشات کے پیرو تھے، نہ کہ ہمارے پیرو۔ ہم بھی اپنی خواہشات پر چلے اور تم بھی اپنی خواہشات پر چلے۔ اب دونوں کو ایک ہی انجام بھگتنا ہے۔ ایک دوسرے کو برا کہنے سے کوئی فائدہ نہیں۔
