أَمَّن جَعَلَ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ قَرَارٗا وَجَعَلَ خِلَٰلَهَآ أَنۡهَٰرٗا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَجَعَلَ بَيۡنَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ حَاجِزًاۗ أَءِلَٰهٞ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ
Is He [not best] who made the earth a stable ground and placed within it rivers and made for it firmly set mountains and placed between the two seas a barrier? Is there a deity with Allah? [No], but most of them do not know
Expressed as a chain of cause and effect, the theories propounded by atheists or agnostics, remain woefully inadequate to explain the creation of the unimaginably vast universe. Be it the creation of the innumerable heavenly bodies that float in boundless space, or the elaborate arrangements that make the earth habitable—all these and many other such phenomena are too great and too wonderful to have been wrought by any idol or occasioned by any blind physical law. The fact is that any explanation of the universe on bases other than God amounts to giving a false explanation of reality. This is merely a fabrication and not a genuine explanation.
کائنات ناقابل قیاس حد تک عظیم ہے۔ اس کی عظمت کے آگے وہ الفاظ سراسر ناکافی ہوجاتے ہیں جو گمراہ کن انسان اس کی غیر خدائی توجیہہ کے ليے بولتا رہا ہے۔ خواہ وہ قدیم مشرک انسان کے بت ہوں یا جدید ملحد انسان کے وہ نظریات جو اسباب اور اتفاقات کی اصطلاحوں میں بیان كيے جاتے ہیں۔
بے شمار اجرام کو پیدا کرکے انھیں اتھاہ خلا میں متحرک کرنا، زمین کو نہایت اعلیٰ اہتمام کے ذریعہ زندگی کے موافق بنانا، پانی اور نباتات جیسی نادر چیزوں کو انتہائی افراط کے ساتھ وجود میں لانا، مسلسل حرکت کرتی ہوئی زمین پر کامل سکون کے حالات پیدا کرنا، دریاؤں اور پہاڑوں کے ذریعہ زمین کو جائے رہائش بنانا، پانی کے سطحی تناؤ (surface tension) کے قانون کے ذریعہ کھاری پانی اور میٹھے پانی کو ایک دوسرے سے الگ رکھنا، یہ اور اس طرح کے دوسرے واقعات اس سے زیادہ عظیم ہیں کہ کوئی بت انھیں وقوع میںلائے یا کوئی اندھا طبیعی قانون ان کو وجود دے سکے۔
حقیقت یہ ہے کہ ایک اللہ کے سوا دوسری بنیادوں پر کائنات کی توجیہ کرنا جھوٹی توجیہ کو توجیہ کے قائم مقام بناناہے۔ یہ انحراف ہے، نہ کہ فی الواقع کوئی توجیہ۔
