فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكٗا مِّن قَوۡلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوۡزِعۡنِيٓ أَنۡ أَشۡكُرَ نِعۡمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِيٓ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَيَّ وَأَنۡ أَعۡمَلَ صَٰلِحٗا تَرۡضَىٰهُ وَأَدۡخِلۡنِي بِرَحۡمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
So [Solomon] smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants
In Solomon’s army there were not only human beings but also genies and birds. Once Solomon’s army passed through a valley where there was a large number of ants. On this occasion Solomon understood what the ants were saying to each other. Such an incident would be enough to give rise to conceit and pride in an ordinary man. But, Solomon became the embodiment of gratitude on this account. He fully attributed to God whatever appeared to be his—and this is the way of a pious and righteous man.
حضرت سلیمان علیہ السلام کے لشکر میں نہ صرف انسان تھے بلکہ جنات اور پرندے بھی آپ کی فوج میں شامل تھے۔ حضرت سلیمان کا لشکر ایک بار کسی وادی سے گزرا جہاں چیونٹیاں بہت زیادہ تھیں۔ چیونٹیوں نے غیرمعمولی طورپر آپ کے لشکر کی عظمت کا اعتراف کیا۔ چیونٹیوں نے اس موقع پر جو گفتگو کی اس کو حضرت سلیمان نے بھی سمجھ لیا۔
اس طرح کا کوئی واقعہ ایک عام انسان کو فخر وغرور میں مبتلا کرنے کے ليے کافی ہے۔ مگر حضرت سلیمان اپنے اس حال کو دیکھ کر سراپا شکر بن گئے۔ جو کچھ بظاہر خود انھیں حاصل تھا اس کو انھوںنے پورے طورپر خدا کے خانہ میں ڈال دیا — یہی ہے صالح انسان کا طریقہ۔
