ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٖ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ فَسۡـَٔلۡ بِهِۦ خَبِيرٗا
He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed
Here ‘six Days’ means six Days of God. In the language of human beings, it may be called six stages or six periods. The Creation of the Universe in six stages indicates that it was done in a well planned manner. Whatever is brought into existence on the basis of a plan and a specific arrangement cannot be futile. In the question the stress is on the subject matter and not on the person to whom the question is put. The idea is that if a man is acquainted with God’s wonderful marvels, he will be able to tell you how High and Mighty is the Merciful God. The research undertaken by scientists in modern times partially fits the meaning of this verse. If a man learns the secrets of the universe which have come to light as a result of scientific research, he will become extremely excited, his hair will stand on end and his heart will spontaneously bow down before the Might of the Creator.
’’رحمان کی بابت جاننے والے سے پوچھو‘‘— اس میں پوچھي جانے والی بات پر زور ہے، نہ کہ پوچھے جانے والے شخص پر۔ مطلب یہ ہے کہ اگر کوئی شخص خدائے رحمان کے کرشموں کو جانے تو وہ تم کو بتائے گا کہ رحمن کی ذات کتنی بلند و برتر ہے۔ موجودہ زمانہ میں سائنس دانوں نے کائنات میں جو تحقیق کی ہے وہ جزئی طورپر اس آیت کی مصداق ہے۔ سائنس دانوں کی تحقیقات سے کائنات کے جو بھید سامنے آئے ہیں وہ اتنے حیرت ناک ہیں کہ ان کو پڑھ کر آدمی کے جسم کے رونگٹے کھڑے ہو جائیں اور اس کا دل بے اختیار خالق کی عظمتوں کے آگے جھک جائے۔
’’چھ دن‘‘ سے مراد خدا کے چھ دن ہیں۔ انسان کی زبان میںاس کو چھ ادوار کہا جاسکتا ہے۔ چھ دوروں میں پیدا کرنا ظاہر کرتاہے کہ کائنات کی تخلیق منصوبہ بند طريقے سے ہوئی ہے۔ اور جو چیز منصوبہ اور اہتمام کے ساتھ وجود میں لائی جائے وہ کبھی عبث نہیں ہوسکتی ۔
