وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَآبَّةٖ مِّن مَّآءٖۖ فَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَمۡشِي عَلَىٰ بَطۡنِهِۦ وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَمۡشِي عَلَىٰ رِجۡلَيۡنِ وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَمۡشِي عَلَىٰٓ أَرۡبَعٖۚ يَخۡلُقُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ
Allah has created every [living] creature from water. And of them are those that move on their bellies, and of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent
To all appearances, this is a world of multiplicity. Basing their belief on this view, the people of ancient times assumed the creators of all the numerous things of this world to be numerous themselves. But one who deeply observes nature finds that a certain uniformity is hidden in all its apparent multiplicity and diversity; this observation gives an entirely different hue to previous assumptions. There are many different kinds of animals. But, an in-depth study shows that the underlying biological system of all animals is uniform. Given these facts, the multiplicity and diversity of life around us must be regarded as a miracle of nature’s creation. Things which, seen from one angle, appear to manifest the multiplicity of creation, observed from another angle, demonstrate the proof of the unity of creation. The present world is the one in which one has to discover reality amidst falsity. Here, one has to set oneself above things that are deceptive in order to perceive the Truth. Man has been given wisdom solely for this purpose. Only one who properly uses this divine torch of wisdom shall find the right path, while one who does not, shall descend into a state of moral chaos.
دنیا کی چیزوں میں بظاہر تعدد ہے۔ اس سے مشرک انسان نے یہ قیاس کیا کہ چیزوں کے خالق بھی متعدد ہیں۔ مگر جب چیزوں کو اس پہلو سے دیکھا جائے کہ ظاہری تعداد اور تنوع کے اندر ایک یکسانیت چھپی ہوئی ہے تو معاملہ بالکل بدل جاتا ہے۔
حیوانات کی لاکھوں قسمیں ہیں۔ مگر گہرا مطالعہ بتاتاہے کہ ان سب کی اصل ایک ہے۔ تمام حیوانات کا حیاتیاتی نظام بالکل یکساں ہے۔ اس مطالعہ کے بعد چیزوں کا تعدد اور تنوع خالق کی قدرت کا کرشمہ بن جاتا ہے۔ ایک اعتبار سے جو چیز تعددِ تخلیق کا اظہار معلوم ہورہی تھی وہ دوسرے اعتبار سے توحید تخلیق کا ثبوت بن جاتی ہے۔
موجودہ دنیا ایک ایسی دنیا ہے جہاں فریب کے درمیان حقیقت کو پانا پڑتا ہے۔ یہاں اپنے آپ کو دھوکا دینے والی باتوں سے اوپر اٹھانا پڑتا ہے۔ تاکہ آدمی حق کا مشاہدہ کرسکے۔ اسی خاص کام کے ليے اللہ تعالیٰ نے آدمی کو عقل کی صلاحیت دی ہے۔ جو شخص اس خدائی ٹارچ کو صحیح طورپر استعمال کرے گا وہ راستہ پالے گا۔ اور جو شخص اس کو استعمال نہیں کرے گا اس کے ليے اس دنیا میں بھٹکنے کے سوا کوئی اور انجام مقدر نہیں۔
