سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِۚ قُلۡ فَأَنَّىٰ تُسۡحَرُونَ
They will say, "[All belongs] to Allah." Say, "Then how are you deluded
In these verses, a certain contradiction in thinking has been referred to by which the majority of people in every age have been afflicted. Most people admit that the Creator of the earth and the heavens is the one and only God; that He is their Lord and He controls them; that He enjoys all the superior powers. Yet their lives do not in any way reflect this acknowledgement. Such sublime truth demands that it permeates their thinking. The realisation of God should make them truly God-conscious. It should so become a part of their nature that, when they come face to face with the Truth, they admit it immediately. Their whole life should be moulded upon it. But, in actual fact, none of this happens. They accept God as a formal belief, but their real lives are not affected by it. The conception of God does not cast any spell over such individuals. On the contrary, they remain enamoured of trivial things. How strange is man’s behaviour!
ان آیات میں اس تضادِ فکر کا تذکرہ ہے جس میں ہر دور کے بیشتر لوگ مبتلا رہے ہیں۔ خواہ وہ مشرک ہوں یا غیر مشرک۔ بظاہر خدا کو ایک ماننے والے ہوں یا کئی ماننے والے۔
بیشتر لوگوں کا حال یہ ہے کہ وہ اس بات کو مانتے ہیں کہ زمین وآسمان کا خالق ایک اللہ ہے۔ وہی اس کا مالک ہے۔ وہی اس کو چلا رہا ہے۔ تمام بر تر اختیارات اسی کو حاصل ہیں۔ مگر اس ماننے کا جو لازمی تقاضا ہے اس کا کوئی اثر ان کی زندگیوں میں نہیں پایا جاتا۔
اس عظیم اقرار کا تقاضا ہے کہ وہی ان کی سوچ بن جائے۔ خدا کا احساس ان کے اندر خوف بن کر داخل ہوجائے۔ ان کے اندر یہ مادہ پیدا ہو کہ ان کے سامنے حق آئے تو وہ فوراً اس کا اعتراف کرلیں۔ ان کی زندگی پوری کی پوری اسی میں ڈھل جائے۔ مگر یہ سب کچھ نہیں ہوتا۔ وہ اگرچہ عقیدہ کے طورپر خدا کو مانتے ہیں مگر ان کا عقیدۂ خدا الگ رہتا ہے اور ان کی حقیقی زندگی الگ۔
خدا کا تصور انسان کو مسحور نہیں کرتا۔ البتہ دوسری چیزیں اس کی نظر میں اتنی اہم بن جاتی ہیں جن سے وہ مسحور ہو کر رہ جائے۔ کیسا عجیب ہے انسان کا معاملہ۔
