يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرُّسُلُ كُلُواْ مِنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ وَٱعۡمَلُواْ صَٰلِحًاۖ إِنِّي بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ عَلِيمٞ
[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing
Religion is originally one, and the same religion was taught to all the prophets. Religion enhances man spiritually so that he may discover God as an Almighty Being. His mind and soul should be imbued with the idea of the one God, Who is watching his every move, and after his death will take a reckoning of all his deeds. This realization (ma‘rifah) is the real religion. As a man enters the fold of realization, he begins to adopt righteous and pious methods in all his affairs. The realization of God essentially results in fear of God, and fear of God necessarily results in a pious life.
دین اصلاً صرف ایک ہے۔ اور یہی ایک دین تمام پیغمبروں کو بتایا گیا۔ وہ یہ کہ آدمی خدا کو ایک ایسی عظیم ہستی کی حیثیت سے پائے کہ وہ اس سے ڈرنے لگے۔ اس کے دل ودماغ پر یہ تصور چھا جائے کہ اس کے اوپر ایک خدا ہے۔ وہ ہرحال میں اس کو دیکھ رہا ہے اور وہ موت کے بعد اس سے اس کے تمام اعمال کا حساب لے گا۔
یہ معرفت ہی اصل دین ہے۔ اس معرفت اور اس احساس کے تحت جو زندگی بنے وہ یہی ہوگی کہ آدمی دنیا کی چیزوں میں سے پاکیزہ اور ستھری چیزیں لے گا۔ وہ اپنے معاملات میں نیکی اور بھلائی کا طریقہ اختیار کرے گا۔ خدا کی معرفت کا لازمی نتیجہ خدا کا خوف ہے اور خدا کے خوف کا لازمی نتیجہ نیک زندگی۔
