وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٖ تَعۡرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ٱلۡمُنكَرَۖ يَكَادُونَ يَسۡطُونَ بِٱلَّذِينَ يَتۡلُونَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَاۗ قُلۡ أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرّٖ مِّن ذَٰلِكُمُۚ ٱلنَّارُ وَعَدَهَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, you recognize in the faces of those who disbelieve disapproval. They are almost on the verge of assaulting those who recite to them Our verses. Say, "Then shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that? [It is] the Fire which Allah has promised those who disbelieve, and wretched is the destination
Inevitably, the call for pure monotheism is intolerable to those who have reposed their faith in many gods rather than in the one and only God. They become deeply agitated when their gods and beloved personalities are criticised. Being unable to refute by rational arguments the call of Truth, they resort to violence against the upholder of the call of monotheism, and want him to be eliminated altogether. When told by God that their behaviour is unwise in the extreme, they are not prepared to bear even verbal criticism. But what will be their condition subsequently when they will be required to undergo the punishment of Hellfire on account of their opposition to the Truth?
خالص توحید کی دعوت ہمیشہ ان لوگوں کے ليے ناقابل برداشت ہوتی ہے جو ایک اللہ کے سوا دوسروں سے اپنی عقیدتیں وابستہ کيے ہوئے ہوں۔وہ اپنے معبودوں اور اپنی محبوب شخصیتوں پر تنقید کو سن کر بپھر اٹھتے ہیں۔ دعوتِ حق کی تردید سے اپنے آپ کو بے بس پاکر وہ داعیان حق پر ٹوٹ پڑتے ہیں۔ وہ چاہتے ہیں کہ ان کا سرےسے خاتمہ کردیں۔
ایسے لوگوں سے کہاگیا کہ تمھارا رویہ سراسر بے عقلی کا رویہ ہے۔ آج تم لفظی تنقید برداشت کرنے کے ليے تیار نہیںہو۔ کل تمھارا کیاحال ہوگا جب کہ تمھیں اپنی اس روش کی بنا پر آگ کا عذاب برداشت کرنا پڑے گا۔
