وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلَّتِي بَٰرَكۡنَا فِيهَا لِلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
And We delivered him and Lot to the land which We had blessed for the worlds
The Prophet Abraham was born in Iraq. When the people of his community and Iraq’s ruler, Nimrod, became his enemies, he left his native place after fully conveying the divine message to them. At God’s command he migrated to the lands of Syria and Palestine. Though his countrymen did not support him, God gave him sons and grandsons who followed in his footsteps. God accepted and appreciated his piety to the extent that He started a chain of prophets from amongst his descendants.
یہ مقابلہ محض دو قسم کے آدمیوں کے کرتب کا مقابلہ نہ تھا بلکہ وہ توحید اور شرک کا مقابلہ تھا۔ یعنی اس کے ذریعہ سے یہ فیصلہ ہونا تھا کہ صداقت شرک کی طرف ہے یا توحید کی طرف۔ چوں کہ فرعون کی بڑائی کی بنیاد تمام تر شرک کے اوپر قائم تھی اس ليے وہ شرک کی شکست کو برداشت نہ کرسکا اور جادوگروںکے ليے اس سخت ترین سزا کا حکم سنا دیا جو مصرمیں قدیم زمانہ میں رائج تھی۔
فرعون جب دلیل کے میدان میں ہار گیاتو اس نے یہ کوشش کی کہ طاقت کے ذریعہ حق کو دبا دے۔ یہ ہر زمانہ میں ارباب اقتدار کی عام نفسیات رہی ہے، خواہ وہ شاہانہ اختیار رکھنے والے اربابِ اقتدار ہوں یا غیر شاہانہ اختیار رکھنے والے۔
