إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقَتۡ لَهُم مِّنَّا ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰٓ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ عَنۡهَا مُبۡعَدُونَ
Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they are from it far removed
‘Abdullah ibn az-Zab‘ari was a famous poet of ancient times. When this verse was revealed, he urged the people to ask the Prophet Muhammad if all those being worshipped other than God along with their worshippers would go to hell. He then pointed out that, in fact, they were worshipping angels, the Jews were worshipping the Prophet ‘Uzayr and the Christians were worshipping the Messiah. The polytheists were very anxious to understand this point and asked the Prophet Muhammad about it. He replied that the one who was being worshipped, and liked to be worshipped instead of God, would accompany the worshipper. On hearing this reply, ‘Abdullah ibn az-Zab‘ari did not enter into any further arguments but embraced Islam. (Tafsir ibn Kathir, vol. III, p.

). This shows that this verse refers to a deity made of stone, etc., or one who himself liked to be worshipped. One who worshipped anybody other than God and one who was so worshipped and liked to be so worshipped, would both be cast into hell in order to teach the people a lesson. Doomsday will be a terrible day. But those who fear Doomsday before its arrival, will be safe from the terror of that day. They will be sent to a world full of heavenly pleasures.
کائنات کا موجودہ پھیلاؤ امتحان والی دنیا بنانے کے لیے تھا۔ اس کے بعد جب انجام والی دنیا بنانے کا وقت آئے گا تو خدا اس عالم کو سمیٹ دے گا اور غالباً اسی مادہ سے دوسرا عالم بنائے گا جو انجام والے مقاصد کے حسبِ حال ہو۔ ایک دنیا کا وجود میں آنا۔ یہی اس بات کے ثبوت کے لیے کافی ہے کہ دوسری دنیا بھی وجود میں لائی جاسکتی ہے۔
موجودہ دنیامیں اکثر برے لوگ بڑائی کا مقام حاصل کرلیتے ہیں۔ مگر یہ صرف امتحان کی مدت تک کے لیے ہے۔ جب امتحان کی مدت ختم ہوگی اور ابدی طورپر خدا کی معیاری دنیا بنائی جائے گی تو وہاں ہر قسم کی عزت اور راحت صرف ان لوگوں کا حصہ ہوگی جو موجودہ امتحانی دور میں خدا کے سچے بندے ثابت ہوئے تھے۔ یہ بات موجودہ زبور میں بھی تفصیل سے موجود ہے۔ اس کے چند الفاظ یہ ہیں
اور بدی کرنے والوں پر رشک نہ کر۔ خداوند پر توکل کر اور نیکی کر۔ وہ تیری راست بازی کو نور کی طرح اور تیرے حق کو دوپہر کی طرح روشن کرے گا۔ کیوں کہ بدکردار کاٹ ڈالے جائیں گے، صادق زمین کے وارث ہوں گے۔ اور وہ اس میں ہمیشہ بسے رہیںگے (زبور،
37:29
