وَٱتۡلُ مَآ أُوحِيَ إِلَيۡكَ مِن كِتَابِ رَبِّكَۖ لَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَلَن تَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلۡتَحَدٗا
And recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord. There is no changer of His words, and never will you find in other than Him a refuge
In ancient Makkah, for those who supported the Prophet Muhammad and who had embraced a religion free from any human interpolation, it was not an easy task. This amounted to renouncing a system which served their interests and accept a belief which appeared to be quite the reverse. The believers had almost become strangers in the society, while those who denied the truth drew strength from the firm ground of the established order of the day. The believers’ thinking is God-oriented, the importance of which would be known only in the Hereafter. As opposed to this those who deny the truth have a worldly approach. Their concern is this world, not the Hereafter. As such they are more successful than the believers in this present life. They are surrounded with worldly glory. But a preacher of truth should not be impressed by the worldly glamour of these people. A dayee is not allowed to compromise on the matter of truth at any cost. If he does so, he will be deprived of God’s succour. In God’s world he will be so isolated that no tree will give him shade, and no water will quench his thirst. Ibn Jarir, commenting on this verse, writes, ‘God says, O Muhammad, if you do not recite (or convey) the Quran to the people, then you will have no refuge against God.’
قدیم مکہ میں جن لوگوں نے پیغمبر کا ساتھ دے کر بے آمیز دین کو اپنا دین بنایا تھا ان کے لیے یہ اقدام کوئی سادہ چیز نہ تھی۔ یہ مفادات سے وابستہ نظام کو چھوڑ کر ایک ایسے عقیدہ کا ساتھ دینا تھا جس سے بظاہر کوئی مفاد وابستہ نہ تھا۔ پہلا گروہ نئے دین کو اختیار کرتے ہی وقت کے جمے ہوئے نظام سے کٹ گیا تھاجب کہ دوسرا گروہ پوری طرح وقت کے جمے ہوئے نظام کے زور پر کھڑا ہوا تھا۔ پہلے گروہ کے پاس صرف خدا کی یاد کی باتیں تھیں جس کی اہمیت آخرت میں ظاہر ہوگی جب کہ دوسرا گروہ ان چیزوں کا مالک بنا ہوا تھا جس کی قیمت اسی دنیا کے بازار میں ہوتی ہے۔
یہ ظاہری فرق اگر داعی کو متاثر کردے تو اس کا نتیجہ یہ ہوگا کہ دین کی بے آمیز دعوت کی اہمیت اس کی نظرمیں کم ہوجائے گی۔ اور آمیزش والا دین اس کی نظر میں اہمیت اختیار کرلے گا جس کا علم بردار بن کر لوگ دنیا کی رونقیں حاصل کيے ہوئے ہیں۔
مگر یہ بہت بڑی بھول ہے۔ کیوں کے یہ اس اصل مشن سے ہٹنا ہے جو خدا کو سب سے زیادہ مطلوب ہے۔ داعی اگر ایسا کرے تو وہ خدا کی مدد سے محروم ہوجائے گا۔ وہ خدا کی دنیا میں ایسا ہوجائے گا کہ کوئی درخت اس کو سایہ نہ دے اور کوئی پانی اس کی پیاس نہ بجھائے۔ چنانچہ ابن جریر نے اس آیت کی تفسیر میں لکھا ہے کہ اللہ فرماتا ہے کہ اے محمد، اگر تم نے لوگوں کو قرآن نہ سنایا تو خداکے مقابلہ میں تمھارے لیے کوئی جائے پناہ نہ ہوگی (يَقُولُ إِنْ أَنْتَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ لَمْ تَتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ كِتَابِ رَبِّكَ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا مَلْجَأَ لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ كَمَا قَالَ تَعَالَىيَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنزلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ [
