أَوۡ يَكُونَ لَكَ بَيۡتٞ مِّن زُخۡرُفٍ أَوۡ تَرۡقَىٰ فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَلَن نُّؤۡمِنَ لِرُقِيِّكَ حَتَّىٰ تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيۡنَا كِتَٰبٗا نَّقۡرَؤُهُۥۗ قُلۡ سُبۡحَانَ رَبِّي هَلۡ كُنتُ إِلَّا بَشَرٗا رَّسُولٗا
Or you have a house of gold or you ascend into the sky. And [even then], we will not believe in your ascension until you bring down to us a book we may read." Say, "Exalted is my Lord! Was I ever but a human messenger
When the Prophet Muhammad called to the Truth, his contemporaries said that they would believe in him only if he could perform miracles for them. But all such demands go against the divine plan of creation. God has created man as a conscious being and throughout the entire universe, this consciousness is a unique phenomenon—a gift by which man may recognise the truth by his own powers of reasoning, rather than wait to be convinced by miracles. The truth is that in the present world man is being tested at the level of argument. Here, everyone has to recognise truth in the language of reasoning and argument and adopt it as such. Those who cannot recognize truth in this way are the ones who will be failures.
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حق کا پیغام پیش کیا تو آپ کے معاصرین نے کہا کہ ہم تم کو اس وقت مانیں گے جب کہ تم خارقِ عادت کرشمے دکھاؤ۔ مگر اس قسم کے مطالبات خدا کے منصوبۂ تخلیق کے خلاف ہیں۔ انسان کو خدا نے باشعور وجود کے طورپر پیدا کیا ہے۔ یہ ساری کائنات میں ایک انتہائی نادر عطیہ ہے، جو اس لیے دیا گیاہے کہ انسان ذاتی شعور کے ذریعہ حق کو پہچانے، نہ کہ مسحور کن کرشموں کے ذریعہ۔
حقیقت یہ ہے کہ موجودہ دنیا میں انسان کا امتحان ’’دلیل‘‘ کی سطح پر ہو رہا ہے۔ یہاں ہر آدمی کو دلیل کی زبان میں حق کو پہچاننا ا ور اس کو اختیار کرنا ہے۔ جو لوگ دلیل کی سطح پر حق کو نہ پہچانیں، وہی وہ لوگ ہیں جو بالآخر ناکام ونامراد رہیں گے۔
