وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوۡمِهِۦ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمۡۖ فَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
And We did not send any messenger except [speaking] in the language of his people to state clearly for them, and Allah sends astray [thereby] whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise
It was the way of God to raise prophets from among the addressees’ own community, fully taking into account their mentality, so that they might be able to call upon the people in their own understandable language to accept the truth. But it was very strange that the way adopted for the betterment of the people led to the very opposite effect. When they saw that the prophet was a man like themselves and talked in their own familiar language, they rejected him, considering him to be an ordinary man. The way adopted to make the process of guidance easier was turned by them into a source of misguidance. It is not the way of God to display magical feats in order to attract people towards Himself, for example, by sending to a community a prophet who speaks a strange language or making the people wonderstruck by discoursing in a magical style. God does not cater to the wonder-loving nature of human beings. God’s way is that of simplicity and realism. He has established His world on the basis of realities; therefore, He also carries into effect His scheme for the guidance of man on the basis of realities, not of magic.
خدا کا طریقہ یہ ہے کہ وہ پیغمبروں کو خود مدعو قوم کے اندر سے اٹھاتاہے تاکہ وہ لوگوں کی نفسیات کی رعایت کرتے ہوئے، ان کی اپنی قابل فہم زبان میں انھیں حق کی طرف بلائے۔ مگر عجیب بات ہے کہ جو چیز انسان کی بہتری کے لیے کی گئی تھی اس سے اس نے الٹا نتیجہ نکال لیا۔ اس نے جب دیکھا کہ پیغمبر انھیں کی طرح کا ایک آدمی ہے اور ان کی اپنی مانوس زبان میں کلام کررہا ہے تو انھوں نے پیغمبر کو معمولی سمجھ کر اس کا انکار کردیا جو چیز ان کی ہدایت کو آسان بنانے کے لیے کی گئی تھی اس کو انھوںنے اپنی گمراہی کا ذریعہ بنا دیا۔
خداایسا نہیں کرتا کہ وہ لوگوں کو اپنی طرف متوجہ کرنے کے لیے شعبدے دکھائے۔ وہ کسی قوم کے پاس ایسا پیغمبر بھیجے جو انوکھی زبان یا طلسماتی اسلوب میں کلام کرکے لوگوں کو اچنبھے میں ڈال دے۔ خدا لوگوں کی عجائب پسندی کی خاطر کرشمے دکھانے کے انداز اختیار نہیں کرتا۔ خدا کا طریقہ سادگی اور حقیقت پسندی کا طریقہ ہے۔ خدا نے اپنی دنیا کو حقائق کی بنیاد پر قائم کیا ہے۔ اور انسان کی ہدایت کی اسکیم کو بھی وہ حقائق کی بنیاد پر چلاتاہے، نہ کہ طلسمات کی بنیاد پر۔
