وَقَالَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ لَمَّا قُضِيَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَعَدَكُمۡ وَعۡدَ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَوَعَدتُّكُمۡ فَأَخۡلَفۡتُكُمۡۖ وَمَا كَانَ لِيَ عَلَيۡكُم مِّن سُلۡطَٰنٍ إِلَّآ أَن دَعَوۡتُكُمۡ فَٱسۡتَجَبۡتُمۡ لِيۖ فَلَا تَلُومُونِي وَلُومُوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُمۖ مَّآ أَنَا۠ بِمُصۡرِخِكُمۡ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُصۡرِخِيَّ إِنِّي كَفَرۡتُ بِمَآ أَشۡرَكۡتُمُونِ مِن قَبۡلُۗ إِنَّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ
And Satan will say when the matter has been concluded, "Indeed, Allah had promised you the promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed you. But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me; but blame yourselves. I cannot be called to your aid, nor can you be called to my aid. Indeed, I deny your association of me [with Allah] before. Indeed, for the wrongdoers is a painful punishment
The world of God is the world of reality and is not based on imagination. Here, relying on the promises of Satan amounts to building on an unrealistic basis. Suppose an individual ignores the caller of Truth and himself takes the credit for doing dawah work, but he indulges in other activities besides dawah. He takes no account of the Hereafter but, relying upon self-made suppositions, still builds up the hope of salvation. He does not live his life in accordance with the commandments of God, yet hopes that his name will be included in the list of God’s most favoured subjects. All these actions stem from relying on the false promises of Satan and, in the Hereafter, man will come to know that only God’s promise was the true one and all other promises were only false hopes, which were never likely to be fulfilled. In this world of God, placing hopes on anyone or anything other than God amounts to polytheism (shirk). It is those who ignore divine realities and want to construct their lives on other things will find that nothing except God can give them any support. But this realization will be of no avail to them on that day.
خدا کی دنیا واقعات کی دنیا ہے، نہ کہ تخیلات کی دنیا ۔ یہاں شیطان کے وعدے پر اٹھنا یہ ہے کہ آدمی غیر حقیقی بنیادوں پر اپنی زندگی کی تعمیر کرنا چاہے۔
آدمی حق کے داعی کو نظر انداز کردے اور دوسرے دوسرے کارنامے دکھا کر حق کا علم بردار ہونے کا کریڈٹ لے۔ وہ آخرت کے لیے عمل نہ کرے اور خود ساختہ مفروضوں کے تحت یہ امید قائم کرلے کہ اس کی نجات ہوجائے گی۔ وہ خدا کے احکام کے مطابق زندگی نہ گزارے اور یہ یقین کرلے کہ اس کا نام اپنے آپ خدا کے محبوب بندوں میں لکھ لیا جائے گا — یہ سب شیطان کے وعدوں پر بھروسہ کرنا ہے۔ اور آخرت میں آدمی جان لے گا کہ صرف خدا کا وعدہ سچا وعدہ تھا۔ اور باقی تمام وعدے جھوٹے بھروسے تھے جو کبھی پورے ہونے والے نہیں۔
خدا کی دنیامیں غیرِ خدا سے امید قائم کرنا شرک ہے۔ اس لیے جو لوگ خدائی حقیقتوں کو نظر انداز کرتے ہیں اور غیر خدائی توقعات پر اپنی زندگی کا محل کھڑا کرنا چاہتے ہیں، وہ گویا خدا کے ساتھ دوسری چیزوں کو خدا کا شریک ٹھہرارہے ہیں۔ یہ دوسری چیزیں فیصلہ کے دن ان کا کچھ بھی سہارا نہ بن سکیں گی۔
