وَلَنُسۡكِنَنَّكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامِي وَخَافَ وَعِيدِ
And We will surely cause you to dwell in the land after them. That is for he who fears My position and fears My threat
The religion adopted by the various communities was severely shaken by the call of the prophets. Those treated as great men by their people were reduced in status by the analysis of the prophets, and this angered them. They could not rebut the prophets’ arguments. However, thanks to the system prevailing at that time, they had great powers in their hands. In their superior position they decided that the prophets should be made homeless and landless. What could not be countered by arguments was opposed by power. When man is in possession of land, this possession is by way of a test and not as a right. If a man realizes that all these things are from God, which has been given to him as a test, he will develop a modest mentality. He will be afraid that what has been given by God may be taken away from him. But those neglectful of religion consider it as a personal right and this feeling makes them tyrannical and proud. When the call of the prophet reaches its conclusive stage, it means that the period of respite given to the addressee community as a test has come to an end. Thereafter, the world is completely changed for them. The things in which they had reposed their hopes and on which basis they had made boastful plans suddenly leave them. So much so, that a time comes when the land is wrested from them and given to others who are more deserving.
پیغمبروں کی دعوت سے ان کی قوموں کے دین پر زد پڑتی تھی۔ وہ لوگ اپنے جن افراد کو قوم کے اکابر کادرجہ ديے ہوئے تھے، پیغمبروں کے تجزیہ میں وہ اصاغر قرار پارہے تھے۔ اس بنا پر وہ پیغمبروں سے بگڑ گئے۔ وہ دلائل سے تو ان کو رد نہیں کرسکتے تھے۔ البتہ وقت کے نظام میں ان کو ہر قسم کا اختیار حاصل تھا۔ چنانچہ ان کی متکبرانہ نفسیات نے انھیں سمجھایا کہ پیغمبر کو بے گھر اور بے زمین کردیا جائے۔ جس چیز کا توڑان کے پاس دلیل کی زبان میں نہ تھا، ا س کا توڑ انھوں نے طاقت کے ذریعہ کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا۔
جو زمین آدمی کے پاس ہے، وہ اس کے پاس بطور امتحان ہے، نہ کہ بطور حق۔ اگر آدمی یہ سمجھے کہ یہ خدا کی چیز ہے جس کو اس نے امتحان کی غرض سے اس کی تحویل میں دیا ہے تو اس سے آدمی کے اندر تواضع کی نفسیا ت پیداہوگی۔ وہ ڈرے گا کہ جس خدا نے دیاہے وہ اس کو دوبارہ اس سے چھین نہ لے۔ مگر غافل لوگ اس کو اپنا ذاتی حق سمجھ لیتے ہیں۔ ان کا یہی احساس ان کو ظالم اور متکبر بنا دیتاہے۔
پیغمبر کی دعوت جب تکمیل کے مرحلہ پر پہنچتی ہے تو یہ مخاطب قوم کے لیے مہلت امتحان ختم ہونے کے ہم معنی ہوتی ہے۔ اس کے بعد وہ لوگ دنیاکو اپنے لیے بالکل بدلا ہوا پاتے ہیں۔ جن چیزوں کو وہ اپنی چیز سمجھ کر متکبرانہ منصوبے بنا رہے تھے وہ چیزیں اچانک ان کا ساتھ چھوڑ دیتی ہیں۔ یہاں تک کہ وہ وقت آتا ہے جب کہ زمین ان سے چھین کر دوسرے لوگوں کو دے دی جائے جو ان کے مقابلہ میں اس کا زیادہ استحقاق رکھتے ہوں۔
