وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي مَدَّ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۡهَٰرٗاۖ وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ جَعَلَ فِيهَا زَوۡجَيۡنِ ٱثۡنَيۡنِۖ يُغۡشِي ٱلَّيۡلَ ٱلنَّهَارَۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
And it is He who spread the earth and placed therein firmly set mountains and rivers; and from all of the fruits He made therein two mates; He causes the night to cover the day. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought
When we observe the earth, we will find that the conditions here appear to be most suitable for human settlement and growth. The earth is spread out beneath human beings like a natural floor. Deep oceans cater to human needs on the one hand and on the other there are the mountain ranges, so that both of them together help in maintaining a balance on the earth. The plants and trees could have grown independently, but they have been paired off, and pollination must play its part between them so that flowers, fruits and seeds will grow. The position of the earth is that, apart from its annual revolution around the sun, it rotates continuously on its axis. This rotation is completed in twenty-four hours, resulting in the creation of night and day. Anyone who seriously gives consideration to signs of this kind will be forced to accept that this earth is under an authoritative and powerful Lord. And He, by His own will, has made it subject to purposeful planning. Without conscious planning, this meaningfulness on earth would not have been at all possible.
آسمان کی نشانیوں کے بعد جب زمین کے حالات پر غور کیا جائے تو وہ انسان کی رہائش کے لیے انتہائی بامعنی طورپر موزوں نظر آتی ہے۔
زمین ایک قدرتی فرش کی مانند آدمی کے قدموں کے نیچے پھیلی ہوئی ہے۔ اس میں ایک طرف انسان کی ضرورت کے لیے سمندر کی گہرائیاں ہیں تو دوسری طرف پہاڑوں کی بلندیاں بھی ہیں تاکہ دونوں مل کر زمین کا توازن برقرار رکھیں۔ درخت ایک دوسرے سے الگ الگ بھی ہوسکتے تھے مگران میں جوڑے ہیں جن کے درمیان تزویج کے عمل سے دانے اور پھل پیداہوتے ہیں۔ زمین کا یہ حال ہے کہ سورج کے چاروں طرف اپنی سالانہ دوری گردش کے ساتھ اپنے محور پر بھی مسلسل گردش کرتی ہے جس کا دور

گھنٹہ میں پورا ہوتا ہے اور جس سے رات اور دن پیدا ہوتے ہیں۔
اس قسم کی نشانیوں پر جو شخص بھی سنجیدگی سے غور کرے گا وہ یہ ماننے پر مجبور ہوگا کہ یہ دنیا ایک بااختیار مالک کے تحت ہے اور اس نے اپنے ارادہ کے تحت اس کی ایک با مقصد منصوبہ بندی کررکھی ہے۔ با شعور منصوبہ بندی کے بغیر زمین پر یہ معنویت ہر گز ممکن نہ تھی۔
