فَلَمَّا رَجَعُوٓاْ إِلَىٰٓ أَبِيهِمۡ قَالُواْ يَـٰٓأَبَانَا مُنِعَ مِنَّا ٱلۡكَيۡلُ فَأَرۡسِلۡ مَعَنَآ أَخَانَا نَكۡتَلۡ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ
So when they returned to their father, they said, "O our father, [further] measure has been denied to us, so send with us our brother [that] we will be given measure. And indeed, we will be his guardians
Joseph probably felt that it was discourteous to take the price of the corn from his brothers, or he perhaps thought that a lack of money might prevent them from coming back again. Therefore, he instructed his men that whatever amount his brothers had paid towards the corn should be quietly put among their belongings, so that when they went home and opened their bundles, they would find it and come again with their brother, Benjamin. Jacob, on the one hand, expressed his lack of trust in his sons where Benjamin was concerned. On the other hand, he also said that neither they nor anybody else had any power. Whatever God wished was bound to happen. But this happening is caused by human hands, so that an evil person, by performing evil deeds, may lay bare the truth about himself, while the good person, by performing righteous deeds, may have his name listed among the righteous.
حضرت یوسف نے غالباً بھائیوں سے قیمت لینا مروّت کے خلاف سمجھا یا اس خیال سے کہ مال کی کمی ان کے دوبارہ یہاں آنے ميں رکاوٹ نہ بن جائے، اپنے آدمیوں کو ہدایت کی کہ جو رقم انھوں نے غلہ کی قیمت کے طورپر اداکی ہے، وہ خاموشی سے ان کے سامان میں ڈال دیا جائے تاکہ جب وہ گھر پر جاکر اپنا سامان کھولیں تو اس کو پالیں اور اپنے بھائی (بن یامین) کو لے کر دوبارہ یہاں آئیں۔
حضرت یعقوب نے ایک طرف بن یامین کے سلسلہ میں اپنے بیٹوں پر بے اعتمادی کا اظہار کیا دوسری طرف یہ بھی فرمایا کہ تم کو یا کسی اور کو کوئی طاقت حاصل نہیں۔ ہونا وہی ہے جو خدا چاہے۔مگر یہ ہونا انسان کے کے ہاتھوں کرایا جاتاہے تاکہ جو بُرا ہے وہ برا کرکے اپنی حقیقت کو ثابت کرے۔ اور جو اچھا ہے وہ اچھا کرکے اپنے آپ کو اس فہرست میں لکھوائے جس کا وہ مستحق ہے۔
