أَلَآ إِنَّهُمۡ يَثۡنُونَ صُدُورَهُمۡ لِيَسۡتَخۡفُواْ مِنۡهُۚ أَلَا حِينَ يَسۡتَغۡشُونَ ثِيَابَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعۡلِنُونَۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ
Unquestionably, they the disbelievers turn away their breasts to hide themselves from Him. Unquestionably, [even] when they cover themselves in their clothing, Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts
When the call to the unity of God (tawhid) was made to certain chiefs of the Quraysh, they rose and, nonchalantly donning their mantles, they left. This is, in fact, a way of ignoring something. When a man considers a preacher lowly in comparison to himself, he behaves in this way. But he forgets that Almighty God knows very well the psychology of his doing so. This is not only ignoring a man (the preacher) but amounts also to ignoring God Himself, Who knows all open and hidden matters. And then, what will be man’s condition when he faces God? He will see that God, whom he had ignored, was the Being who gave him all that he possessed—even those things on the strength of which he had ignored the word of God. Man is living in God’s world and ultimately he has to return to his Maker. But he lives as if he has no connection with God today and will have nothing to do with Him in future.
قریش کے بعض سرداروں نے ایسا کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے سامنے توحید کی دعوت پیش کی تو وہ بے پروائی کے ساتھ اٹھے۔ اپنی چادر اپنے اوپر ڈالی اور روانہ ہوگئے۔
یہ دراصل کسی بات کو نظر انداز کرنے کی ایک صورت ہے۔ کوئی آدمی جب داعی کو حقیر سمجھے اور اس کے مقابلہ میں اپنے کو برتر خیال کرے تو اس وقت وہ اسی قسم کا رویہ اختیار کرتاہے۔ مگر آدمی بھول جاتاہے کہ جس نفسیات کے تحت وہ ایسا کر رہا ہے وہ اللہ تعالیٰ کو خوب معلوم ہے۔ یہ صرف ایک انسان (داعی) کو نظر انداز کرنا نہیں ہے بلکہ خود خدا کو نظر انداز کرنا ہے جو ہر کھلے اور چھپے کو جاننے والا ہے۔
پھر آدمی کا حال س وقت کیا ہوگا جب وہ خدا کا سامنا کرے گا۔ وہ دیکھے گا کہ جس خدا کو اس نے نظر انداز کیا تھا وہی وہ ہستی تھا جس سے اس کو وہ سب کچھ ملا تھا جو اس کے پاس تھا۔ حتی کہ وہ اسباب بھی جن کے بَل پر اس نے خدا کی بات کو نظر انداز کردیا تھا۔ آدمی خدا کی دنیا میں ہے اور بالآخر وہ خدا کی طرف جانے والا ہے۔ مگر وہ اس طرح رہتا ہے جیسے کہ نہ آج خدا سے اس کا کوئی تعلق ہے اور نہ آئندہ اس کا خدا سے کوئی واسطہ پڑنے والا ہے۔
