قِيلَ يَٰنُوحُ ٱهۡبِطۡ بِسَلَٰمٖ مِّنَّا وَبَرَكَٰتٍ عَلَيۡكَ وَعَلَىٰٓ أُمَمٖ مِّمَّن مَّعَكَۚ وَأُمَمٞ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمۡ ثُمَّ يَمَسُّهُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ
It was said, "O Noah, disembark in security from Us and blessings upon you and upon nations [descending] from those with you. But other nations [of them] We will grant enjoyment; then there will touch them from Us a painful punishment
When all the evil people were drowned, the flood abated. The water was gradually absorbed in the ground or drained away into the seas. Noah’s Ark ran aground on Mount Judi. Noah and his companions then disembarked. At God’s command the earth again became lush green and well-populated. The people among whom Noah appeared were those who believed in Adam’s prophethood. After Noah his people stayed on the right path, but only in the beginning. When later generations began to stray, prophets were again sent to them. These later prophets appeared in the communities who had accepted the prophethood of Noah. In spite of this, since they did not accept any prophet of their own times, and did not reform themselves, they were destroyed. This means that for the purpose of salvation, it is not enough to accept a prophet or to associate oneself with a prophet. Rather such Faith is required as is an active and live Faith, and has the power to turn a man’s life into one of righteous action. The history of Noah teaches the lesson that lovers of falsehood may appear to be all-powerful and they may be very long-lived, but they are nevertheless destined to face destruction. On the contrary, men of Faith may be very few in number and may appear to be quite powerless, but by God’s will, these are the very people who will ultimately share His graces in the present world, in the beginning and, finally, in the Hereafter.
جب تمام برے لوگ غرق ہوچکے تو طوفان تھم گیا۔ پانی دھیرے دھیرے زمین میں اور سمندروں میں چلا گیا۔ حضرت نوح کی کشتی جودی پہاڑ پر ٹھہر گئی تھی، آپ اپنے ساتھیوں کے ساتھ اس سے نکل کر زمین پر اترے۔ زمین دوبارہ خداکے حکم سے سرسبز اور آباد ہو گئی۔
حضرت نوح جن لوگوں کے درمیان آئے وہ حضرت آدم کی نبوت کو ماننے والے لوگ تھے۔آپ کے بعد آپ کی امت ابتداء ً راہ راست پر رہی۔ اس کے بعد اس کی اگلی نسلوں میں بگاڑ آیا تو دوبارہ انبیاء بھیجے گئے۔ یہ بعد کو آنے والے انبیاء ان قوموں میں آئے جو حضرت نوح کی نبوت کو مانتی تھیں۔ اس کے باوجود جب انھوں نے وقت کے نبی کو مان کر اپنی اصلاح نہ کی تو وہ ہلاک کر دی گئیں ۔ گویا صرف کسی نبی کوماننا یا اس کی طرف اپنے کو منسوب کرنا نجات یافتہ ہونے کے لیے کافی نہیںہے۔ بلکہ وہ ایمان مطلوب ہے جو زندہ ایمان ہو اور جس کے اندر یہ طاقت ہو کہ وہ آدمی کی زندگی کو نیک عملی کی زندگی میں تبدیل کردے۔
حضرت نوح کی تاریخ یہ سبق دیتی ہے کہ باطل پرستوں کا زور خواہ کتنا ہی زیادہ ہو اور ان کی زندگی خواہ کتنی ہی طویل ہوجائے، بالآخر ان کے لیے جو چیز مقدر ہے وہ ہلاکت ہے۔ اور اس کے مقابلہ میں اہلِ ایمان خواہ کتنے ہی کم ہوں اور خواہ وہ بظاہر کتنے ہی بے زور ہوں۔ مگر جب خدا کا فیصلہ ظاہر ہوتا ہے تو یہی لوگ ہیں جو خدا کی رحمتوں میں حصہ دار بنائے جاتے ہیں، ابتداء ً موجودہ دنیا میں اور آخری طورپر آخرت میں۔
