1ٱلۡقَارِعَةُThe Striking Calamity2مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُWhat is the Striking Calamity3وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُAnd what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity4يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِIt is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed5وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِAnd the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up6فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥThen as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds]7فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖHe will be in a pleasant life8وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥBut as for one whose scales are light9فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٞHis refuge will be an abyss10وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡAnd what can make you know what that is11نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢIt is a Fire, intensely hot
